Embarrassing game stability - non-stop crash

Can someone please explain why Blizzard has been attempting to create a functional game engine instead of leveraging the ones that can actually meet the industry standard?

Up until 2 weeks ago, I never had a single crash in this game but I have always been wondering why the hardware requirements are so high compared to the mediocre underwhelming graphics in Diablo 4.

The amount of crashes since the Halloween patch are staggering regardless of people’s setup. This has been swept under the rug for 2 weeks now.

Look at the team during the “fireside” chats. They are not taking questions from the audience, addressing popular issues, or reading any level of game sentiment.

They claim to have fixed the stability, but the only difference is that now the entire PC shuts down instead of just the Fenris ones.

The game engine is so poorly built, and since the Blizzard team prefers to sit down and waste our time with discussions on artwork at minor balance changes to the game, why not at least leave the game engine to industry leaders who know how game stability works.

To anyone claiming this is related to my set up, here’s what I’m running:

  • AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D
  • GeForce RTX 4080 Super Windforce - 16GB
  • 32GB Lexar Thor RGB DDR5 6000MHz
  • Thermalright Aqua Elite 240 V3 AIO Cooling

There is no warning signals upon crashing such lag or rubber banding.

This new generation of Blizzard no longer meets industry standards, and it’s an unfortunate time to demonstrate lack of capabilities with the competition launching POE 2 soon.

Looking forward to more boring fireside chats with anecdotal abstract and non-tangible game priorities.

Do you use AMD adrenaline?

I did and it was crashing all the time until a few days ago when i took out Adrenaline for the pro graphic card drivers. It’s been faultless since

one tip turn of ray traying sheet card take more power etc dont say i have 4090

Same here, its a joke what this once majestic company has been reduced to. Same with World of Warcraft… i have 1 year and a half played time, but now i cannot even look at the game anymore.

Yeah, it’s pathetic what this has become. It’s a complete embarrassment. It used to dominate the industry but now they are struggling with basic game stability, which is sooo cringe for a company of this size.

The frequency with which D4 crashes is becoming ridiculous. Aaand it seems proportional to the char’s exp well being active, as well as other elixirs etc.

Blizzard sure fixed the antivenom elixir health boost bug fast recently, but they’re sure slow at fixing these others:

  • world travel game crash
  • nightmare dungeon exp well sometimes unusable

Geez Blizzard coders, please address these things.

I dont know about you but i have 0 crashes disabled that dsll though

I never had a game crash
i Did used 9900K from intel
now i did switch to 7700 x from amd
i did play on my old 3800 Ti
now i play on 4070 super
I never did turn on ray tracing in diablo 4 so maybe this is your problem
i did never had any crash in diablo 4

good we know that now.
