Can someone please explain why Blizzard has been attempting to create a functional game engine instead of leveraging the ones that can actually meet the industry standard?
Up until 2 weeks ago, I never had a single crash in this game but I have always been wondering why the hardware requirements are so high compared to the mediocre underwhelming graphics in Diablo 4.
The amount of crashes since the Halloween patch are staggering regardless of people’s setup. This has been swept under the rug for 2 weeks now.
Look at the team during the “fireside” chats. They are not taking questions from the audience, addressing popular issues, or reading any level of game sentiment.
They claim to have fixed the stability, but the only difference is that now the entire PC shuts down instead of just the Fenris ones.
The game engine is so poorly built, and since the Blizzard team prefers to sit down and waste our time with discussions on artwork at minor balance changes to the game, why not at least leave the game engine to industry leaders who know how game stability works.
To anyone claiming this is related to my set up, here’s what I’m running:
- AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D
- GeForce RTX 4080 Super Windforce - 16GB
- 32GB Lexar Thor RGB DDR5 6000MHz
- Thermalright Aqua Elite 240 V3 AIO Cooling
There is no warning signals upon crashing such lag or rubber banding.
This new generation of Blizzard no longer meets industry standards, and it’s an unfortunate time to demonstrate lack of capabilities with the competition launching POE 2 soon.
Looking forward to more boring fireside chats with anecdotal abstract and non-tangible game priorities.
