As the title says, I woke up to se youtube filled with endgame builds that break the game. This is not fun. Builds that let you zoom and kill World bosses in seconds as solo player.
I was hoping for a bit of struggle and actual GROUP CONTENT. Spending time refining your build and finding likeminded people that you vibe or have good synergy with.
The current balancing breaks that immersion and makes me want to refund and wait for PoE2. I would like this game to peek interest for both the casual and the hardcore player. But at this moment there is no challenge. And if the game STARTS OUT as this broken, man.
Millions and Billions of damage numbers… again… it ruined the other games. Lets nip this in the bud and lower it.
If this is still in the game as the first season launches.
I have lost all hope and faith. Again
But now it has to be final.

And what is stopping you from enjoying the game at your own pace and play style?
People will play the way they want, some will rush, some will grind and others will spend weeks or even months perfecting their builds.
Nothing is stopping you from grouping with other people to do things as a group. People can end up taking weeks or months to even get the best rolled items for their character.
Balancing is something that is not fixed overnight and we won’t see any real changes appear in Diablo 4 until Season 1 and beyond.
So stop worrying about what other people are doing and enjoy the way for yourself.

I would expect the lack of single player contributes to this.
In a world where you have to play with others, balance is vital, so it’s bad form to suggest they suck it up and accept other players may ruin their own fun.
I have seen you “white-knightning” their choices all over this Forum, and thats OK. Feel free to offer your PoV. That being said you do not speak from experience.
But if this power is reached in such fast rate. There wont be any time to enjoy the game is what I am saying. Grouping will turn into solo carrying all your needs. In other words a Botting Paradise.
So not only does it ruin my fun, it ruins all fun.
And therefore I will not stop worrying about what other people are doing.
Since nor I or many others will enjoy it, if this keeps up.
If you call white knighting, giving people some common sense and removing the blindfold of stupidity, then yes I’ve been white knighting like a champ!
I do not speak from experience? How do you know how long I’ve played games, how old I am, what background I have and such?
You’re entitled to your opinion as to how you feel about the game. No matter what I say will change that. However, like you I offered my opinion in relation to what you had to say.
ARPG have always been about numbers, numbers & more numbers. Sure the numbers were higher than what I expected, but it won’t spoil the enjoyment of the game, that I will be playing in a little over 33 hours from now.
I’m sorry that you believe that what has been shown in the review vids on youtube has ruined that experience for you. Maybe you’ll change your mind, once you’ve played past the act 1 experience.
I wouldn’t say that many will not enjoy the game, but there may be a small percentage of the massive player base, maybe 100 out of a couple of million!
Anyway I hope you will find the fun the ingame or make sure to request a refund within 2 hours of playing on launch.
Just play like true hardcore players, don’t copy other people. Make your own builds…
Problem solved.
Never understood this copy others for easy mode mentality of the gamers of this generation. Like missing out on 85% of the fun, discovering builds.

Numbers in ARPGs are not the bread & butter of the genre. It’s about farming those BiS items and Diablo 4 is a really large open world, which you can explore.
If people are focused on just the numbers, then it’s not going to be an experience that those individuals will continue to do after a month.
You need to think about what you personally want to get out of the game and then build around that. Like NIDLXVI said, you don’t need to follow or copy what the next person is doing. You can build a character to the style you want to play & enjoy.
besides world bosses that shouldnt bother you.
Most of the end game grind is instanced, so you wont be affected by those players.
apart from the PvP, which some are say has the best drop rate for legendaries etc.
But you’re indeed correctly, that most of it will be instance based.

Its not about copying, its about the synergies of all the legendaries. Its like 5 different builds for each core ability that does absurds about of damage.
It is about copying, unless you discover the synergy yourself…
