i would like to share some major issues which really make me rethink wether i should continue playing D4, or not, currently, im leaning towards not.
1: i have very long loading times for literally everything, doesn’t matter if i teleport back and forth 50 times between 2 towns, or entering any dungeons, infernal hordes or cellars. Usual loading time is at least 15 seconds up 30 seconds, per teleport or entering any dungeon/cellar/infernal horde.
2: at any moment, the game can freeze for about 10 seconds, or just completely freeze unto a stuck in which i have to relaunch the game. a regular freeze happens because the game doesnt load a group of enemies quickly enough, and only loads in when im in the middle of a large group of enemies, and when the game freezes, those enemies kill me during this freeze, this happens every time i exit a town. when i have to relaunch the game, the cause of this is unknow to me, but this can happen in the following situations: when i open inventory with ‘i’, when i open stash, when open a shop to sell some items, or when opening any menu to check for example season status, even the ‘esc’ menu can be a cause for a complete game stuck. Also, D4 (at least for me) has a major problem dealing with other players to load their characters, which can be a cause for a small freeze or also a complete stuck.
Now, i tried literally everything, changing video card settings to lowest possible, medium and highest to see difference, uninstalled and reinstalled game, change nvidia settings from high to low, changed the installation of D4 without the high resolution items, nothing stops this game from freezing or crashing, its really bad. i have trouble playing this game doing the simplest of things because of this stuff.
I know its not my computer, because i play many other games, to name a few: elder scrolls online, fallout, armored core, HotS, CoD black ops… and none of these games have the freezing, long loading or game crash issues like D4 has, and i play them on high graphical settings with no problem at all.
Although i do like D4, these issues really are a major turn off to continue playing this game. I can’t even walk through an area without freezing multiple times, and when some unique legendary drops, and i wanna check what it is, as soon as i open inventory, it will be a miracle if the doesn’t crash, its really just rediculous.
blizzard, please make the base game more stable! the enemies of an area need to be loaded in already when you first enter the game, and not during a 10 second freeze when you get killed by them…
