Fenris error, the application has encountered an unexpected error

Since the game’s release day, I have been experiencing this error. I have been waiting to see if it would be resolved with Nvidia driver updates or game updates, but I just installed the latest Nvidia drivers, formatted my PC, installed Windows 11, and updated everything, yet the error continues to appear.

The game becomes unplayable. Sometimes the error occurs right upon entering, sometimes after 5 minutes, and sometimes after 20 minutes. I’m unable to finish a dungeon, and I’ve lost a lot of loot. The game is not enjoyable, and I need your help. I’ve even changed the thermal paste of the processor and GPU. I’m attaching the DXDiag file.

The last error code that appears in the window is 628D8730-D49F-4746-97F3-134D7E177DA4.

They are in denial that this is an issue on their end, and probably your pc is the cause. Good luck!

Is that what they say? Well, there are posts with over 5k visits about the same issue, are all our PCs broken?

According to Blizzard, yes, it’s not the game it’s all of our collective PCs.

What I see happening now is that the game automatically closes when I press Y. I noticed it when I wanted to view aspects, etc.

I notoriously experienced the same error starting from launch day, sometimes even
30 times during few hours of playtime. After using all the possibilities, the simplest turned out to be the most accurate fix.
To fix that i added diablo iv.exe to program settings in nvidia controll panel. Then i manually set and lock the target graphics card and power plan to the highest performance.
Currently, the problem has not returned after several hours of playing without logging out
