FPS dropped from 120+ to 20 and below

I played Diablo up until about midnight BST last night (Friday). I had 120+ FPS on Ultra settings all day with zero issues.

I logged in at about 3pm BST, and now I cannot get above 25FPS, with most of the time it is below 20.

I have changed nothing during this period, so was there an update to Diablo?

I was on the Nvidia 522.25 driver because the latest one also tanked my FPS when i updated yesterday. Did a rollback and everything was working perfectly.

So i’ve tried both of the drivers above, and turned all my settings down as low as they can go, and im getting about 35 FPS now. But I don’t want to play a game I forked out a ton of money for, and play it at the lowest settings.

I have the following system.
I7-12700K
RTX 3080
32gb RAM

I got the same issue. Yesterday everything was great, went to bed and after last update my frame rate is around 10-20. I tried everything i can think of.

I have the same issue.
It happened after the game updated today 2023-06-03T23:00:00Z
I can verify that GPU and other drivers are up to date.

The issue in my case might be related to CPU utilisation now bellow 10% at all times.

drop Texture and shadows down a bit sorted it for me

It does not work for me.
It must be a bug. A frame drop of 100 FPS is not normal

Been having similar problems.
Found this thread on reddit, gonna try it when I get home. To disable hardware accelleration in the battle.net client that is.

Check in PrecisionX or Afterburner if your GPU power target isn’t reduced to 20%.
