I have tried every single fix mentioned in the thread, like setting network to public or stopping services and devices, but nothing seems to work.
My fenris debug is literally spammed down with “polling audio devices” every 10 secs and my FPS in-game drops down from 120 to around 60 and sometimes even 20 constantly.
Changing graphics settings does nothing, i’ve tried ultra, high, medium even low.
Blizzard please fix this it’s driving me mad and I don’t want to brick my pc trying all these weird solutions.
I have exactly this same problem and I have tried to solve it by following what is said in that thread, unfortunately the same conclusion as you, the best example of this is the inarius cinematic in caldeum (when he steals the soul stone) I have not seen a person to which that cinematics does not suffer from stuttering. It will be necessary to make more threads about it so that they realize the problem and fix it as soon as possible. It’s a shame, Diablo 4’s campaign mode is beautiful and this inconvenience completely ruined it.
and no, i have a PC that can perfectly run the game, even D2 Ressurrected takes more Vram in my PC than the entire D4 Experience with no stutter.
Optimization Problem
Yeah, blizzard is just completely ignoring the problem and the fact that my post has gone over 12 days with 0 response in a technical support forum is shocking to me.
The US forums thread got a blue post but it just says all of the problems are unrelated even though every single person posting there all have the “polling audio devices” bug and they are all connected to the same issue.
It looks like the conclusion by the community that has been posting is that the core problem is either a memory leak that has been there since the first beta or some kind of issue with VRAM.
Atleast for me turning of accelerated hardware in battle.net launcher, setting my network to public and then also stopping “SSDP discovery” in services has turned down most of the stutters.
Some people also suggested turning off cross-play, but I’m not going to do that as I fear that might result in less players on world bosses.
