people were hyping when diablo 4 launched .people were hyping when its expansion launched .people are now hyping poe2 .
so yeah be my guest and waste some more money on early access privilliges .i will wait for your post on poe 2 as to how that turned out to be nothing as advertised

Gameplay is there, everything is shown and GGG devs are passionate, great at their jobs, early access has huge endgame (much more than D4 after an expansion), boss fights are interesting, no class or ascendancy will be 100 million times powerful than the other, no clunky class design, absolutely massive amount of builds and a lot of tedious things currently in POE1 was scrapped in POE2 without making the game shallow. The only unknown is the story. The hype is real because GGG delivers on their promise.

poe2 is new best thing at the moment players are spoiled for choices ,they flock to expansions get bored in a few weeks want more content and move on to the its new look its the greatest thing since sliced bread.
In two leagues of poe2 i bet the masses get bored with that current leagues mechanic having watched all the meta builds used by the third party crews out there nowadays and their sites they just ruin the games build exploring , min maxing by using the broken mechanics just look at the spirit born as an example.
They then jump ship and go to the next popular title and rake in the cash like they did the last title and the masses follow them like lemmings till the hype dies rinse repeat rinse repeat.
The modern games industry is a shet feast atm not one game released in the last three years to my aging knowledge has been able to retain a high stable player base that i tried helldivers , first descendant, last epoch the list goes on hype for the biggest and newest will always be just that hype till one stands out like wow did back in its day.

Even Rod is ready for best ARPG of all time. There is a chance he will open his eyes and get some inspiration from PoE 2, however, I no longer have hope.
I wonder how GGG studio looked like when Diablo 4 was released. I bet they opened bottles of their best champagne to celebrate.
