Why all the hate? Ten years ago when i played games, before all the big steamers and all the internet opinions game where much more fun! Poeple did not look at steamers and no life poeple for a opinion about a game! Now if a streamer says a patch or update is not good a game is dead! I like this game leveling with my gf is amazing and fun ! Game looks amazing plays fine and so far i like it! I hope in the future it will grow even more amazing !

The streamers tend to be very accurate and are ‘famous’ for their ability to be to-the-point and articulate. They are not telling us how to think, they are articulating our concerns in video format for us.
I spent 3 or 4 weeks discussing the game on here with others without having watched a single “Why is Diablo 4 so bad?!” video, but when I did finally watch it they covered 80% of the stuff we had been talking about and some additional points none of us had thought about. They are worth their weight in gold 
If you defend a bad game you’ll get a bad game 
keep fighting the good fight! Make Diablo 4 turn into something great!

We live in a time where streamers follow base can destroy a game overnight from review bombing & more, this is yet another good reason why Blizzard disabled comments on the youtube video they recently did as “Campfire” it was logically correct to use this approach as most streamers were watching eyes-wide just waiting for the chance to pounce.

D4 has a solid framework, but weak RPG mechanics.
People are dissatisfied precisely because of that, even if they don’t realize it themselves.
Blowing up Endgame, or Season will not save the game, only conceal it until it is a 0815 one-way street and thus lost.
The game needs a big break and associated with it, the big rebuilds of the core mechanics, skill system split on several trees, scaling wisely adapt, change the loot system so that it supports the skill this but does not make, break class resources and offer a completely different way of playing, which then also means no balancing, because that does not work together.
Slow down the world in the progression and connect the Paragon board with another kind of endgame, which does not dominate the game, but is based on a functioning progression, which then creates a system via the Paragon system and extra war zones against the demons, etc., which means motivating further development of skills, very very slowly, but well worked out.
Zones that give bonuses to the whole world when players conquer them from the NPC hordes, which then also fight back again etc…
But these are all such huge adjustments that it will be a reboot and that is but a necessity, out of this monotony and into a more addictive game.
An add on is a long way off to pull this off. So players now stall a bit and prepare for the break…

If you really like this game, i have a bad news for you man…
every patch, game works worst…, if blizzard wanna make a game for streamers, why dont tell it before??, people wanna more difficult, more items, more power… at same time people its bored cause nothing is new…
The only thing they’re accurate at is baiting people to click on their videos. Same as mass media. Outrage and drama is their life juice.
And sadly, yes, they do have enormous influence on their viewers, who are then like mindless drones flood the forums and repeat what they’ve been told. Even if they’re telling themselves “oh no, he didn’t tell me what to think, I just happen to agree with everything he says” - that’s self-deception.
Tribalism is part of the brain, whether you like it or not, that’s just how it works.
The game is fine, and the nerf doesn’t matter. Try to figure out why without listening to a streamer.

How exactly is it worse? All of its mechanics as exactly as they were at release. Nothing’s changed except some numbers that don’t matter to gameplay.

That is untrue, I’ve been reading this forum since before June / Release day. People have been complaining about certain parts of the game en mass… long before the streamers released their videos, if anything the streamers are the ones that copy the masses.

- Isn’t PoE
- Isn’t Diablo 2 or 3
- Is made by Blizzard
…and they will keep throwing temper tantrums every time the devs do something they don’t like.
Best to just ignore them like a parent might choose to ignore a spoiled child that didn’t get any toys from the toy store.

Precisely. Because the best way to ride the outrage is to learn what people are already pissed about and double down on that. Although some streamers do have their own genuine opinion on some things - that helps too, because it creates a contradiction and a controversy which, again, creates its own hype (omg streamer X is against the popular opinion!). But it’s important to keep in mind that their goal is not to inform the audience or give a balanced overview of the situation. It’s to get as much views and subs as possible.
Too late. The latest campfire chat demonstrated that they caved in. Hopefully though it was just for show and they’ll continue doing what they were doing.

True, as I said the streamers covered about 80% of the topics raised on this forum and in reviews, whilst adding on 20% that nobody had mentioned yet (To my knowledge).
Personally I’d love if the developers would read all my posts and everyone else’s, but sadly due to a certain troll my comments inflated to almost 500 posts! I’ve probably only left 30 posts (If that) with sound and articulate thoughts about the game.
It became a mess, but then I watched a streamer video that covered the majority of what I said and so I gave it a like. In the hope that at worse the developers could just watch that one Video and see the support it has gained from the community.
Personally I had never heard of the most famous streamers until Diablo 4 came out, I clicked their content blind and was delightfully surprised!
