Hi i tryed to open the game today, and the game non stop crashing on charater selection. Sometimes it’s telling me to update my graphic drivers( id did it the first time) and sometimes crashes with errors.
I did the repair and saw some solution in the net but nothing is working. For me it seems to be a problem of receiving the data of my characters on character selection like the servers are down or something.
I tryed 3 other games and they where working perfectly.
Any one experienced the same issues?

Yeah this as started for me yesterday i even reinstalled the lastest nvidia driver and it’s still a no go.
Edit: i also tried reinstalling the game as well.
yesterday i was playing with no problems why today this strat happening did they realeased a non offcial patch because i ddin’t find any new patch for yesterday. Or may be a server issue?
any fix found yet? i just want to play my game ![]()
i just changed my game from been optimized by my NVidia app to original settings and it worked ![]()
Ty for your solution but it didn’t work for me, and you inspired me :). I just deleted the local file LocalPrefs.txt in the folder C:\Users\localUser\Documents\Diablo IV and the game is working perfectly now for me ^^
Edit : i did further tests, it’s the nvidia App optimiser that’s is causing the crash of the game, you need to exclude diablo from being optimised by NVIDIA APP
Same here, Nvidia isn’t my issue, My network isn’t my issue as I have spent $150 on servicer calls as well and a network monitor to catch when the “server” goes down. Its been verified by 2 different techs that it is absolutely BLIZZARD no sending packets, causing the disconnection. Yet if you open a ticket they keep saying "Ohh check this forum (2 of the links were for EU wow and not NA diablo), Or are you sure its not your network, Have you tried the advanced troubleshooting, same old regurgitated stuff, yet no one seems to be able to answer the simplest of questions. Hopefully a Developer/Tech will actually respond and provide some kind of insight to questions.
