Game crashes Out of Memory error

Hello, I seem to be having issues with crashing and getting Out Of Memory errors. I have an Nvidia RTX 4080 with 16 GBs of VRAM, 32 GBs of RAM and an I7 13700K 16 core processor. I meet all the required system specs to run the game on the highest settings, but I constantly get these Out of Memory errors. I have reduced the graphics down to “high” and that doesn’t seem to fix it either, even though my system exceeds the recommended specs for “high”.

Got this today for the first time but I’ve been playing since early access with no issues. Haven’t touched the settings (Ultra textures with everything else on High).
GeForce 3060 12GB and 32GB system RAM.

Edit:
I installed Playclaw to keep an eye on memory usage.
The game uses about 17GB of system RAM so that part is fine.

However the VRAM usage started going up from 9GB to 11GB by a decimal every second starting from when I logged back in!
It was getting close to 11.8GB usage (my VRAM is 12GB). I opened the Settings menu to check something before the game could crash and got killed by an exploding enemy baited back to me by one of my minions.
Suddenly the VRAM fell back to 10.6GB and hasn’t moved since. No more crashes again!

Coincidence, or is there a memory leak that persists between logins but is cleared when the character dies?

It’s weird because I don’t have any graphical issues or performance issues prior to me crashed from being out of memory. I get no lag (except for server lag), no freezing or stuttering. I’m easily rocking 60 frames non stop. Then suddenly boom, I crash because of memory. Literally the snap of a finger.

I had no issues either. 120fps on average, yes there is rubberbanding but that’s a server issue. First time I saw this message was today.
The only thing I can think of is that my session timed out prior to this memory issue, and that caused it. Even though I restarted the client which didn’t solve the problem.

There might be a variable that keeps writing into memory, maybe thinking that the previous session is still live?

If you have the motivation I’d recommend installing a system resource monitor like I did and see what happens to the VRAM on your end.
I’ve been playing since my post above and VRAM settled between 10.4 and 10.8GB. When I had the crashes it was going up by 0.1GB a second, without stopping!

There’s a memory leak and you just have to deal with it. Try to ctrl+shift+win+B every time you teleport or cross half a continent to reset video memory.

I’m sure there is.
The question is what’s triggering it. I haven’t had any issues for two weeks, then suddenly the game started crashing every minute or so.
Character dying fixed that. Maybe the devs can use this info?

This started for me very recently as well. The white pop-up box with the code at the bottom, half the time it mentions running out of memory.

Was playing it for as long as I wanted before the last update.
