Game freezing, staggering or even crashing? This might just work!

Have your game been freezing constantly when opening menus, teleporting around and running on your horse through the map or even crashing when simply pressing an innocent “I” to look at your loot? This Un invasive solution might just work.

After attempting to tackle the very frustrating issue without success, an idea came to mind regarding the location the game is saved on.

As I’ve suspected, the game being installed on my HDD (for its large size compared to my SSD which stores all my system files), worked for its disadvantage. After reinstalling the game onto my C drive SSD, the game has completely been revamped, working smoothly and without much issue.

As it seems, the game is having trouble accessing information during live play which affects gameplay performance. Especially when it came to accessing menu information, and loading new zones on the map.

Note:
Some have stated that simply uninstalling the high resolution assets from the game’s install which is a much faster and convenient action than reinstalling the game on a diferent disk.

I recommend trying that before attempting that.
The steps: (Options button near the “Play” button > Modify install > unchecking the high resolution assets)

P.S. I’m aware Console players are having these issues too, and if my assumption regarding this issue is correct, there’s not much you can do unless you have a way to run it on an SSD considering many older consoles are pretty much locked on to their single HDD’s.

I have always had my game on an ssd and this issue only cropped up recently…I have tried numerous fixes to no avail and right now all i want to do is uninstall. It is definitely not an issue that resides with my machine or network.

I believe a forum admin already stated this as a possible cause of issues a few weeks back.
But its not the sole cause of issues. Im running from an SSD myself and still get screen freezes when I open my inventory (although not bad as they resolve themselves within 10 seconds).
