DO NOT PLAY if you have a 3080TI. It killed my card, and many other peoples.

I thought all the bad 3080Ti’s have been bricked already with New World. Playing with 4090 here and I have left the game and gone afk for hours without brick.

My 3080ti ran fine outside of the game not being optimized and kind of studdery.
Played maybe 15-20 hours on a 3070. While it was studdering and rubberbanding i didnt have any crashes.
Did you have a gigabyte card? Seems like a lot of their cards are burning out during this beta
Who is ‘‘many other peopleS’’ ?
Where is actual proof of that besides hearsay?
I have been playing for 25+ hours with 1660 Ti ,NEVER had any issues.

The software cannot brick hardware. Your card was already failing, once the card had some load on it, the card failed. It would be best to RMA your card through the GPU manufacturer. Once again the game cannot kill your card.

I thought things felt warm–looked at my rig and everything was orange and red!! 80+ Celsius–roasting! Blows my mind I had to scale stuff back to keep the card from burning up–2080 Super

Weird. My 4080 hardly reaches 60c playing the game, everything is absolutely fine.

I am happy this does not concern me, as I don’t touch Nvidia cards for last couple of years. Happily utilizing 100% of my Radeon GPU in long gaming sessions, yet to experience any problem.

Dont say silly things that you don’t know about. It can. Happened in the past 25+ years with us many many times. I’ve had gpu damage during Battlefield 3 Beta myself and had to replace it (1-2 years old gpu, can’t remember it was long time ago).
A simple vb script can break your software and you can loose data even so be careful what you think you know, it seems you didn’t experience these things yet. 
Keep seeing people referring to their more powerful cards not having an issue, good for you, no-one asked? This is not an linier issue of the cards power, its clearly a manufacturing defect with certain 3080 Ti’s, especially when a lot of them were sold during the global component shortage. Demand vastly outweighed supply and gave incentive for cheaper easier to source components to be use as substitute when very little high quality components were coming out of Japan and Gigabyte are taking their RMA site down very very regularly since this surfaced to prevent any more RMA requests than they need to fulfil.
Really dont see how the game has anything to do with the cards bricking up, it just happened to be this software that was in use when the Gpu was pushed to it´s limits and failed due to a hardware issue, RMA your cards to the manufacturer / reseller.
Even more peculiar is that almost every verified report I’ve seen so far is the card locking up with a black screen and 100% fans on cutscenes or cinematics, then not surviving a second round of it. All signs point to a component failure.

Can you play at High Settings with 1060?
I play on 960GTX old as hell and heaven and sit at 74 degrees…had 0 issues.
