Got enough from game

Played over 300hrs this season . here is some specials : not enough volatile primordial dust for endgame crafting, Reputation for special boxes (glints of hope) not receive from other bosses exclude season boss, mephisto. transmog have to be more valuable (yesterday have prepared 36pcs of one hand weapons all done with at least 2 GA— question for topic how many destroyed by indestructible affix?)

over 300 hrs for a season, mate, you need to step outside and have a walk once in a while

I played like 20 something hours and already done with it, especially since I learned the mephisto fight is worse than lilith fight and I hated lilith fight already enough. Not going to go for that stuff.

I didnt even reach t12 because they have nerfed paladins so hard. Finally got the expansions to get some fresh content, but all the pay to win classes are no longer as op as they used to be.

Imagine playing this game without the expansions, you barely get any boss resources keys etc. but as an expansion user: they are very easy to get. If comparing the two options, but still not good enough. The endgame is just boring mindless grind to get that one or two materials needed and when using those to craft something youll get a garbage roll or wrong item anyway due to the bad rng system.

Got to love this “spend 100 hours to grind one resource to make one item which will fudge you side ways with spiky baseball bat” mentality.

Dont get me even started on the builds… Youre forced to play the meta-builds through guides because nothing else can get you far enough. Not even close.

idk how many hours but maybe 20, like semirotta.
i’m at t7 but got the damage for t12 i think. need defense. dmg is crazy rn. cause i got the 5 set bonus and mythic weapons for my spec, and some other cool stuff. maybe not for t12 but it’s insane on t7. it’s just that i don’t have healing and i am kinda low on toughness also. i figure if i could just get some healing.. maybe on the bow. will check it later today.

300 hours is high. you gotta like… step away when it isn’t fun anymore. don’t ruin it by punishing yourself. you’ve seen that you’ve spent your horizons. for me it’s easy to get some healing on my bow. all i need is a trash regular ancient bow and i’m in business. but you need totally different things. takes you 10 more hours to get something minor.. don’t do it, quit; it’s season over. just some more weeks and it’s the new season. hold up for that! much better spent energy then than now.

but if you feel you wanna, of course keep going. it’s possible, for sure.
i’m done doing things like that. i gotta get super hype to pursue anything like that and i never feel that way anymore.

We are almost 2 months into the season, it’s not that bad, 300 hours over 2 months is 5 hours a day, lots of people put hat kind of time into gaming, not everyone work 2 jobs and have a spouse, 3 kids and a dog. Some people have more spare time than others. It’s totally doable to cram 5+ hours of gaming into your day while maintaining a job and a healthy life.

20 hours on the other hand, that’s rookie numbers, most dedicated players put near that much into the opening weekend of a new season. 20 hours over two months is like 40 minutes per day on average, that’s not even a full helltide event.

no, it’s veteran numbers. those who played the games. at least that’s how it is for me.

sure. agreed, don’t worry about putting time into your hobby. i’m just saying everyone should stop when it is no longer fun. it’s not a test of endurance, it’s a game for amusement.

yea, like.. i ran a helltide today. did some crafting too. i gotta say i think the loot is better and the crafting as well, lots of options and it’s more interesting with yellow and blue greater affixed items cause then everything can be useful or made useful; it’s a hit for me, especially with the transfiguration random finish; perfect.
and uhh… i’m having some sinful grilled cheese and afterwards i’m going to play again. so probably 2 hours today then, maybe more. tomorrow? idk, depends. you figure 40 minutes is nothing but i think it sure is something special with my 40 minutes. i hope you enjoy yours that you’re having in the next 40 minutes, i’ll do my best to enjoy mine. good luck.

sorry though.
coming here, voicing concern, is important.
other guy too got stuck after 300 hours. it’s likely no coincidence.
missing materials and other reasons make the progression slow to a crawl and ideally that would never happen. or happen slower, for the most enthusiastic of devil slayers.

Ive been part of the game since its early baby steps in closed alpha. Trust me when I say this that Ive put my fair share of hours into the game already and there just isnt much motivation to actually play for longer anymore as everything has been similar repetitive boring grindplay at the very end or close to the end.

I got the expansions to try and get the motivation back, it worked, for that 20 ish hours. Waiting mostly the next season as it starts on my birthday and Im going to try a new class, most likely spiritborn. Depends what they nerf and how much on the classes.

Love the sorc but thats all Ive played for so long that I just needed a change to that. Wish it had different builds more but its always the same, just like every other class.

I dislike the barbarian as its definitely the devs favourite as it has been OP since the day one and just keeps getting buffs and has multiple builds to play that actually reach endgame easily. Unlike any other class.

The devs just need to work on the classes and build options more and it gets more interesting as not everybody runs the same builds everywhere. Its so lame to see so many players and every single one plays the same way

i ended up playing through the night, some ten hours or so.
got a berserker amulet. was trying to get something defensive but got an offensive piece with a weakness.
was a good night, had fun; real party.
but i think knowing when the party is over is important.
it’s not over quite yet for me. i’m going to pursue this. got to tier 79, cleared a nemesis rift. or maybe that was after…? yea, i got something in the nemesis rift that i could use in town and it was clearing monsters from normal to pit 79. i barely made it and it was cool. last tier i took the protection shrine and as it ran out, and i was certain of my imminent demise, it ended. heroic indeed!
fun times.
but it’s not forever. d4’s more something to play a little bit, i think, and that’s why i am irritated that i have to level to 70 every time there is a new season. it’s an entrance fee of time. how does it make sense to do that over and over? it’s just a detriment to the game. do it once and then you start at the actual start, with a normal character.
