So I did it, I hit level 100 on my first and only character… However, since level 80 it has not been fun. I had to force myself to hit the cap. Something needs to change in the endgame I think. The story was fun, enjoyable, got to explore - but what awaits you at the endgame is really lack lustre. I paid for the ultimate edition, and I honestly don’t think I can stomach grinding another character to 100 when the first season starts, because there is no end game… So the battlepass and everything was a waste of my money.
Lack of item variety, aspects are lame, I want more than 8 uniques… -way- more.
Endgame content is missing - nightmares, tree of whisper, world boss, legions.
Tooltips are terrible - I want to see the damage numbers properly scaled on my skills, and see them change as I alter my paragon/items… Not some attack/def/health stat which doesn’t work -at all-
Since launch, my lag has gotten progressively worse. I freeze up for a few seconds a lot, thank god it isn’t hardcore for me…
All in all, I am a bit disappointed with the later half of the game, I’m sure lots of others are writing the same, but I just expect so much more from a game with that pricetag, there’s nowhere near enough innovation when compared to free to play games, or previous iterations of Diablo. I think this game was released too soon sadly - and I think after 5 or so seasons, you should have a decent blueprint as to what the game should’ve been like at launch. Not trying to insult anyone, and if anyone has any answers or rebuttles to my qualms please reply - because I’m defeated now I hit 100. I might not play for a while.
Gratz i stop all my 3 characters around lvl 75 after complet sides quest main quests, total bored playing, cant use builds what i need, many and many hours without better items to builds what i must use when i need kill anything.
You got all your BiS and uniques? Played around with builds? Because that is what this game is about. Sure, it definitely needs some variety, but the endgame is about grinding and having fun while doing so.
Every piece of my gear is over 808 gearscore with not maxed, but pretty good rolls, and aspects are all maxed… The issue with the build variation is, unlike with Diablo 3, 2 - the aspect system and re-roll costs on armour make it so expensive to even think about testing a new build without gimping your last one. I don’t mind grinding, I’ve played Diablo since I was a kid, but the end-game is hollow right now, I guess it’ll reach it’s peak in a year or two, but Idk if I have it in me to get another level 100 grind when season starts.
Lets be real here, the only Uniques that are really hard to find are the ultra rare uniques, which are impossible to find. Otherwise you probably got very close to full-bis by lvl80 just with some optimisation to be had, but nothing really big.
Playing around with builds is kinda tough because you’ve got barely any stash space and a respec at level 100 is almost 14million gold.
Fair enough. Other class? Also, season1 is supposed to bring a lot new content (hopefully). I stayed on one class for now to have at least one new class to play for the next 4 seasons.
I would never do that.
For me there is no reason to play without having fun.
If I don’t enjoy it anymore, I try something else in the game (maybe an other class).
If after a short time (~10-15 minutes) I’m still not having fun, I’ll do something else.
Sometimes after a while I feel like it again, but sometimes I don’t then I stop playing this game altogether.
It’s the completionist aspect. If I just quit when it stops becoming fun then Blizzard have just made more money off of me when it’s not worth the price.
You played until 80 with fun (which is maybe around 110 hours).
Then you played maybe additionaly around 50 hours without fun.
You had 110 hours good experience with the game and 50 hours (approx. 1/3 of the whole playtime) with bad experience.
If you stop playing after 111 hours because the lack of fun you had 110 hours good experience with the game and just 1 hour bad experience.
It doesn’t matter to Blizzard if you play or not, the only one harmed is you.
In your case, I wouldn’t cry for the felt lost money before I force myself to have so many bad experiences.
Instead, I would say: I had 110 hours of fun, let’s leave it at that and I like to remember these beautiful 110 hours.
I don’t get this hypothetical ‘content will come’, they had over 10 years (520 weeks) to make this game and we are to expect radical innovation and content 6 weeks after release? 6 months? 6 years?
It’s fine for me & thousands of others to just do that. But when will Blizzard ever learn to use the polished late-stage games like Diablo 3 & 2 as a blueprint for the new one? They go straight back to the drawing board, and deliver another lacking game which won’t reach it’s full potential for over a year of patches. They have the blueprint - they have an arsenal of items/maps/lore/mistakes to use/learn from. They could’ve literally added the D4 story, the unique items, ancients/cube system, the aspect system & the modernised graphics, and it would’ve been a banger from day one with room to grow for runewords, larger boss raids ect. But once again they drip feed it to make more and more money as if they don’t already have enough, and that’s the frustrating part.
Congrats on playing the game for longer than you enjoyed , who forced you to hit 100? If i complete a game and feel bored i just dont play it anymore? Why force ur self to continue ,
I urge you to wait till 6th when they show us what is going to happen in season before making some big decisions
I will also start yelling and beating tables when i see no good changes in season 1
well tbh you cannot expect more, the price tag for most triple a games is =
59 Euros and those are one and done games many of em, all from FF 16 to dead island 2 or anything else,
what you got here, if you paid more than 59 euro is a seasonal pass with content inside it as well that you will be able to acces once the season starts, but i bet that you allready got way more out of the game than 50+ hours, which is very fair time for 59 euro now adays, some games even cost that amount but your done after 15 hours, like dead space remake
