Highlighting of objects or items or monsters or npc

Now that it’s been confirmed that the gems will be moved to another tab, it’s time to add an option to turn off the backlighting for every other things scattered around the world

Objects but especially enemies, especially the larger ones when highlighted knock you completely out of imersion.

Changing from red to black highlighted this even more, because then the enemies looked like they were taken out of cartoon game XIII or another NARUTO NINJA STORM

The problem was ‘‘solved’’ by setting the backlight color to white. Problem. The problem is generally not there for most people, but for me the removal of backlighting of objects and enemies was missing.

Or I didn’t see it. But I’m betting it wasn’t there.

I know that most people want to see who they are attacking and what things can be attacked/open up, but for me it wouldn’t bother me if I didn’t see a big red highlight on the silhouette of the monster I am currently beating.

I focus my attention enough that I would be able to survive without it, and I wouldn’t resent it as if I didn’t know who I was attacking.

I would like this as well for the immersion. I too am not sure if it is there, but you can check my recording of going through the options, if you like. At timstamp: 04:24 I see I encountered a settings area about Highlights and specifically one for objects and another for enemies, but I did not open it to see the options for it - Typical :upside_down_face:!. I hope they will add a select “transparent” option or something, if they have not already.

My feedback on highlighted objects

This is a part of Rahsna’s beta feedback collection project
This is part XIV: :oil_drum: Interactable objects

Different outlines around breakable and lootable objects was much appreciated. It was also a real time saver to know which objects to break and which was just part of the scene, though still breakable, if you really wanted to.
