?? I really am dumfounded about the posts here, every single arpg in the world uses seasonal characters where the season has content the non season has not , you cannot name a single arpg who doesnt so why suprised? Its an expected thing to know,
Seasons doesn’t reset your character. Your character remains intact in the eternal realm. But seasons does force you to start a new character at lvl 1.
Every single ARPG? You mean PoE and D3? Because I used to play Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Torchlight 2, D2 (offline back in the day). Never noticed any seasons. I did not even know what seasonal character means when I returned to D3 few years after release.
I could not care less about it if new cosmetics from battlepass were not season exclusive which means reset exclusive…
Fable is an action rpg on xbox 360, fable does not have seasonal characters.
Just like every arpg ?
The ONLY ARPGS that Make you Make a New Character on Seasons are D3 and PoE and PoE Season also differ from D3 as they also add to eternal realm besides only The seasonal Mechanic that isnt ,
seem like you played on PoE and D3 to say that … i wont say names of other ARPGS that dont do it in season as a guy above said it already but you choose to ignore him
Okay, fair enough. So let’s say it in a different way:
Every ARPG which actually have an active playerbase.
They are just arguing over semantics at this point. EVERY arpg that has seasons works like this. Every one. You guys did not do your research and you did not know what you are buying. Fair enough, i can understand that. But then , when you find out the truth, why come and demand change to suit your needs? It has always been like this, it will always be like this. Cry or get over it.
Poe, D3 , torchlight infinite and Last epoch have seasons.
The other ones are so old they are irrelevant.
The guy talking about Fable is in the wrong forums.
The point of the game is not to get to lvl 100.
It is to build your own character and have fun with spells/paragon board (same as every other ARPG, but yeah we lack a bit of “endgame”).
Leading with the assumption that everyone that picked up Diablo has even played an aRPG before… Probably answers your confusion.
As an aside, I knew about seasonal resets. I didn’t have a clue that the battle pass, and battle pass progression, would be exclusive to the Seasonal realm.
Am I fussed? No because I’ll be playing Seasonal anyway.
Could I see why someone might be upset about that? Sure.
How can you not have a clue on what you buy?
We have google, chat gpt, either your stupid or you like to throw your money at random stuff and hope it’s good. if you do so, stop complaining
A+ for reading comprehension.
D2 had seasons it was just called ladder, d3 had seasons, d4 will have seasons. Many other arpgs got it also.
Why should ppl who actually play this game w8 for a season because ppl only play 1- 2 h a week or so?
Iam working min 40h a week and got a lvl 100 char lvl 70 char lv 33 and 32 hc.
I was even reading a post where someone was complaini g thar the season is to early and the person was lvl 11.
Whoever dont like it do t play it you still got the eternal realm.
But for me i have not rly anything to do now exept for lvling new char.
The paste till s1 is fine and 3 or 4 month for a season is totally ok.
They do not force you to start a new character. You can stick to eternal and do your thing if you prefer to do so.
They did not know it because most of them either are new players or never ever played Diablo3 seasons or POE leagues…
but those people are minority so no one cares about their opinions
I prefer more hard content and more drops rare stuff to find than reapeat all over every season…
We need very rare drops with more item lvl
And? Is this a obligation that if other arpg have it D4 MUST as well?
it’s called following the standards that have proven to work. for the people who usually play arpg.
This is not an mmo, again.
Because for a lot of players, this is highly likely their first real ARPG.
These are all referred to as ARPG-lites.
