There is no power or boost on battle pass. No need to buy it. If you buy it you just buy cosmetics. Season mechanics is current trend of games anyways. You either participate the season and enjoy and experience new things, or go the vanilla route for slower and not so interesting progress. Its just the way it is nowdays.
lol @ all these (post deleted by user)…, that are NOT deleted by user… Bliz damage control in full effect guys!.
Because you need to ALWAYS find a company that has standards and makes games for gamers to compare and you easily can see than how low the bar is now. For me its larian studios and its been like that for years. Watch their panels from hell and how much fun they have. Thats why their games are good because they make the for the players and for people to get immersed and have a blast playing their games. Than compare them to other gaming devs that have corpo overlords and you instantly see the difference. If we want for games to be great we need to hold on to certain standards and over the yers there is a trend of white knights defending crap and making the bar lower and lower and we are where we are.
Give me my Money back and take your “Game” Diablo 4 Back . Thanks
I ain’t waiting for Blizzard to fix this mess of a patch. I am too busy irl and can’t waste my time on a game that is currently poop, unrewarding and a general grind.
but the marketing guys insisted on 6.6. release…
I’m genuinely surprised by this patch, as far as I can tell from having read the patch notes the goal was to make players feel more powerful as they conquered the world…, in which case I can only assume the lead developer haven’t and isn’t playing the game or simply doesn’t understand simpel mathmatics.
The only logical reason I can see for this patch (which shot so far beyond the goal post you can’t even see it) is that their data shows content being consumed to fast, and some how someone birthed this brainchild thinking it would mean less people playing without a break on it.
The only problem there is that Diablo first and foremost have 2 metrics that already act as those breaks: Rng and time
For most people (including myself) rng is a cold hearted b…, most of us also have full time jobs with a life outside the screen and obligations to tend to.
The time factor even pre-nerf patch I’d be lucky to hit level 100 on my first and only barbarian inside of another 3 weeks (currently lvl 93) since I only play 3 - 4 days per week and only a few hours at a time ramping it up by 2 - 3 hours Saturday or Sunday.
Loging in today after having read the patch notes I didn’t really know what to expect, so I went in with an open mind.
Threw up my usual lvl 51 sigil on a dungeon since that’s what I been breezing through to try and collect some upgrades…, and got creamed twice.
No biggie, figured I wasn’t paying all that much attention so I went for another one after completing it…, only the Butcher decided to join in on a large group of elites + trash ![]()
I got the elites + trash down using 3 shouts + ultimate + x number of pots ending up with the butch…, and I have to run circles waiting for my shouts to get off freaking cd (could easily cycle them pre-patch), butch lands his hook and I’m being beat down like a wet paper bag.
Now I logged off after that for a breather to try and find some solutions on the ol’ interweb, and came up with nothing except a clear sign that everyone is in the same boat.
I’ve run 2 more lvl 51 sigils now and feel absolutely mentally exhausted, at this point I have zero urge to play the game since it feels like I have to start over (I know, just a feeling)…
Buttom line (personal opinion) is that the difference from yesterday and today in the game, feels increadibly tiresome and boring!
Diablo is and always have been a bite-size grind content game where it didn’t matter if you played a few hours a day or spent your life in the game for 6 months to create youtube videos, you’d always feel like you were moving forward growing stronger (or at least making progress chasing down the elusive 1 - 2 items missing).
Sure it is still bite-sized, but it’s made so grindy with the nerfs across the entire game (bugs aside since there are many, not just the helltide cinders) that the fun and feel of growing stronger have been sucked clean out of it.
After everything that happened from release i genuinely regret buying this game.
Totally agree.
I was eager to play Sorc in the season but not anymore.
Probably I’ll stick with my Rogue (or perhaps to think about Barb).
Sorc is by far at the bottom right now (unless they make last minute changes).
Overall I believe they made class balance worst than before instead of improving it.
Only there are

What are Smoldering Ashes and Seasons Blessings?
Smoldering Ashes in Diablo 4 are a resource earned via Battle Pass leveling that is spent on Season Blessings. There are multiple Blessings available which provide perks to your character. Some examples include bonuses to XP, Obols or gold. You’re able to have multiple Seasons Blessings equipped at the same time. You’re also able to upgrade an applied Blessing to get an even better bonus. As the name implies, these only last for the current Season. It’s important to note you can’t use Smoldering Ashes on Seasons Blessings until character level requirements have been met.
/qoute
While those are present in the unpaid Battle Pass, there are more on the paid one (not to mention more expensive accelerated providing shortcuts in a way of skips)
Ashes are unlocked when you hit certain lvl. If you just play the game regularly, you will unlock them at the same time with players who has season pass. Yes, you can skip steps, but ashes STILL have lvl requirement. So by the time you are the appropriate lvl, you should have them unlocked anyways.
But You get more of them in premium pass (skips nonwithstanding). And since they are directly linked to blessings and their upgrades it is beneficial to use premium. QED
Thought…
Considering extreme amount of time to level and decent (yet far from perfect) gearing 100 lv char it’s obvious one can consider char a paid one (like buying items for real cash). You should not touch them by any nerfs – it’s stealing real time resources from us.
If you feel process is to easy (and it’s not and it’s fun as it is) – make game harder (like material reasons for higher dungeons).
Seasons are great place for experimenting. Remove patch from base game !
I’m lvl 95. So, after all this time playing casually, i can certainly say this game is utter shit right now… The balance is awful, they have no clue what they’re doing/changing, and the game is boring, pointless, with full of ridiculous bugs, developers can’t even write proper code. The only reason i keep playing this trash is to get to LvL 100, just to satisfy my ego. I hope i can at least make it before i die from boredom…
Already skipped that joke called “Season 1”, and will happily uninstall for good in a few days. Fvck you Devs, fvck you Blizzard ![]()
It’s usually not the ‘devs’ that mess up. They merely work according to whatever awful specifications they get, in the mostly too little time allotted by their managers. This results in the messy UI and bugs respectively.
If it really was the fault of the developers, it would mean that the workflow of the project is a complete mess, as the developers could decide to make changes on-the-fly.
On smaller teams that is fine, with merely a dozen team members it could already cause major chaos.
this game is dead the moment it become a season buy cosmetic in game, without telling further story. main reason i think people want to keep going
and ur a necromancer.
Druid companion werewolves get stuck in the ground since many months now!
Don’t worry, it’s all part of their well-planned lazy approach. In Season 7, we’ll once again have no new content because they’ll be fixing itemization for the seventh time
. And we’ll go back to Season 4 xD… This is their business plan and strategy for Diablo 4: eternal tweaking of itemization and numbers to delay addressing the lack of endgame ideas and expanding character abilities. Look at Paragon 2.0—it was made during a quick bathroom break. People will remember my words one day, even though what I said when the game launched has already come true. The people managing this project should be replaced, or at least brought in someone who has good ideas, isn’t limited mentally, and has a broader perspective. Unless the problem lies in the game’s code and structure (and we have evidence of that in many aspects of the game, not just in stashes, but also in how spell formulas work and how many of them don’t scale properly), because in that case, nothing will help except creating Diablo 5…
Well think about this, the game is trash but sold more than any other Diablo game. So, as a business you say ‘good job’, and ‘keep it up!’, right? No reason for them to change this formula, sadly.
