Huge FPS drops - pls help

pls help, no matter what my game decides to have fps drops to 15-20 fps, any ideas why it can be ? I dont want to stop playing but i will uninstall the game because its unplayable.

i have 32 gb ram, rtx 2060, 9900 procesor
hight performance set, newest drivers downloaded.
monitor 240Hz 1440p.

it does the same even when I play on lowest settings, I even tried to play on 1080p

I reinstalled windows, formatted.

It keeps having 0.5-1sec spikes, my game freezes for that duration, it is unplayable.
please any ideas?

I can see this happening due to two reasons.
One, stuttering and loading from RAM/swap due to graphical data not fitting in VRAM.
Two, this could be GPU or CPU overheating and decreasing performance to save itself.

Solutions:
monitor CPU/GPU temperatures and usage, do you know how? What are your temps?
Uninstall Diablo IV high-res texture pack if you have this installed (40 GB)
Then, put everything on Low settings (I know you did that already, but for the purpose of testing, put everything on low)
Enable vsync and cap framerate in game settings to, for example, 30, and monitor the situation gradually increase fps cap.
Let us know the result.

Same problem !!! XBOX very lagging. My hero jumps back every 3-5 sec. And my skill dont work correct. i’m die twice for 2 min.

ok so update, my temps are good, around 60, usage of my ram graphic card and cpu is so low during the game so its strange.

lowered all the settings to lowest possible (I can have more than 200 fps average)
Tried to turn on v-sync also. (These fps drops are not related to v-sync somehow)
My monitor is using g-sync technology.

noticed that these drops (to 20 fps to 40) happen very frequently during events or when other players are nearby and you’re traversing the world, when new packs are loading.

My ping is from 30 to 50 ms usually.

I am not sure how to uninstall diablo 4 high resolution pack.
This issue might be related with my 21060 graphic card - maybe it had not the best optimalisation with this game? I am just shooting, because I have no clue what is going on.

This is happening to many peope since update a week ago.

I think I had these problems even when I’ve played the first beta.
But interesting think is, these spikes happen even when Iam in game menu.

There are just so many possible problems causing FPS drops in high end systems and so many possible solutions that you will have to try them all. I would start withh turning off SSDP Discovery in systems (WIN) and browser hardware acceleration in BNET app. If this doesnt hhhelp continue to the thread (usefuull tips start around post 150).

For example i was playing fine untill last patchh, when D4 launchher forced mme to download the newest graphic card drivers. :smiley: Than everything went to hell :DDD
