Windows 10 LTSC here. The error is NOT correct, my system is up to date and this a Diablo IV problem, not a my system problem.
If this is not solved, I won’t be paying for this game because, again, it is a problem in YOUR end.
I suggest you to escalate this issue because you may not give a damn about me or my money, but you are gonna get this same problem with lots of other people.

You are affected by the bug I mentioned. Have you already tried reinstalling the Battle.net App.
This is not something we know.
Stjepanj and Lime, have you checked which Windows version you’re using? If you press Windows and R on your keyboard, you can enter the following command to check: winver
Hey guys so I found a very odd way to fix this, after trying to reinstall battle.net app a couple of times and still not working, I was ready to reinstall windows to fix the issue, so I relocated the game files to “c:\diablo” and tried it one more time before reinstall and that somehow fixed it.
Then i was getting constant disconnects while waiting in queue, that was fixed by closing the battle.net app.
Im running win 11 pro, version 10.0.22624 build 22624
Hope this fix will help others

checked, it does not fit, in order to play D4, I have to reinstall Windows, and this is very bad, since the Blizzard company did not warn about this in advance

I agree with this opinion
I mean… you’re operating on a version that is officially not supported anymore soooo, kinda your own fault.
and I mean that I have all the Blizzard games and they work, but D4 does not
You aren’t “up to date”. The latest LTSC is 21H2; 1809 is older, regardless of MS supporting it on-paper.
If you can use 1809, I’m confident 21H2 isn’t going to negatively impact the LTSC experience, and it’s even an improvement for anyone with Ryzen since the scheduler fixes came with 1903 and aren’t backported to 1809.
I was about to install 21H2 LTSC and figured I’d do a quick search to make sure D4 worked with it. This thread scared me at first, but it sounds like it should be fine.
This is nonsense, i’m running up to date pro version 1809.What is the point in not allowing people to play? It’s not a matter of compatibility, it’s just a lack of caring for your customers.
I really wanted to pre-purchase, didn’t even think that something could go wrong.
If this has taught me something, it is never to pre-purchase, especially digitally. There is nothing to gain, only to lose.

It’s up to date, and you don’t know what you’re talking about, as you don’t even have the 21H1 to begin with.
I just updated it to 19045 and I didn’t see anything for 1909 except articles dating a few years back. It is very bizarre to have had an issue like this, it’s never happened to me.

Someone had mentioned in another post somewhere it has to do with the game not being shipped with legacy support or backwards compatibly for things like DirectX11, graphics drivers, Operating Systems, ETC, which most games do.

No se corrigió el error en mi caso al reinstalar Battle.net, por el momento me olvido de Blizzard, mal por ellos

Totalmente de acuerdo bro, punto en contra para Blizzard
Same here.
Running an older OS version for stability, it’s pretty rude of Blizzard to force people to install less stable versions just because they can’t code properly.
Also the Win update/install takes 4 hours.
Thanks for ruining the weekend.

I have Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC. Your Diablo 4 is the only game which can’t run in my system. That’s enough for you to report back to your Devs.
