I can't complete Grim Favors and they are always in the same location

  • Whispers of the Dead are only ever in 1 location (Caldeum).
  • Completing the dungeons does not award Grim Favors (even when completed within the timer).
  • Completing an event does not award Grim Favors.
  • One of the events (Collecting 100 motes) never gets above 5/100. It keeps resetting to 0.

I can’t abandon the Whispers of the Dead quest and try to retake it. Switching difficulties does not work. I’ve googled the problem but everyone with a similar issue gets talked down to “You can’t get grim favors if you already have 10” and “You don’t get Grim Favors if the timer runs out before you complete the dungeon”. That isn’t the problem.

Having the same problems, please someone address this, it’s genuinely game breaking.
