I played the campaign and after that got bored really really quickly. Made some other characters. That is not doing it either. I was looking forward so much to this game. So sad it failed as hard as it did. I can’t deny it feels a bit unfinished or untested. I did like the campaign. After that i got the statues and then i got bored so fast. Can’t even be bothered to level a character to lvl 100. I feel bad that i spend 70 euros on it
It did make me discover POE though. I like that game alot so far.
You’re not alone on this. I think you’re actually in the majority that feels really let down. In the UK, we are currently in a cost of living crisis, £70 + 10 for the season pass is a lot of money right now for anyone. Blizzard really dont care theyve made back on their investment, still peddling shop items and micro transactions, still enticing people to watch their sponsored streams, calling them a catchy name so people dont actually see whats happening, more viewers = more money. Customers are mearly cashcows for Blizzard who are happily taking peoples money without remorse, and refunds are not even in the equation. The consumer needs more rights and more protection against these companies.
Well tbh the new base price seems to be around 70 pounds I mean Starfield is the same
Dont worry brother, you aren’t the only one who is disappointed.
Millions of players feel the exact same way you do,you can tell judging by topics both on US/EU forums as well as reddit, metacritic, youtube, twitch, and dozen of other sites.
I know D4 is in its early phase, but i expected more from a game released in 2023. I did not expect it to have tons of content at the release, but i at least hoped to have an actual endgame , proper holy warrior type of class and better NM system.
Game is going to get good in time, but at that point population will drop a lot.
If they don’t fix D4 with expansion or major game update before PoE2 is out, everyone is going to leave because PoE2 players are going to get TONS of stuff , for free + all of the already existing systems …
PoE 2 has 100 unique bosses, 6 new classes,600 different monster types,1500 passive skills,36 different specializations,240 active skills,700 equipement types, and much much more… all that for free, within one update + MASSIVE graphic upgrade.
Makes you wonder what the f. did we spend 70-100 euros for?Since season started,i did at least hundred of NM runs,i fought 5 different bosses in total, Blood Bishop being in at least 50 of runs.
I quit yesterday,i got no nerves anymore.I cant be playing a game that doesn’t give me any upgrades, that gives no legendary aspects for spec you are playing (you need to play offspec in order to get aspects for your main spec, because that’s blizzard’s troll system) And i honestly got no nerves playing 30 different NM dungeons just to fight the EXACT SAME BOSS at the end every single dungeon. No thank you.
If you bought a hoover, fan, car etc would you accept it, if it wasnt working as advertised, unfinished or was faulty?
£70 or £70k if a product isnt as advertised the customer should be either compensated or allowed a full refund. Its called consumer rights. Its just that the gaming industry seems to be completely immune from these laws.
transparent spam, have a present.
These forums are hilarious, this is nothing like a scam at all. They even gave you free access to the beta to check it out before buying it. They haven’t promised anything that wasn’t delivered.
If you happen to not like it, that’s totally fair. But to call it a scam is just not true.
The game does work though, it loads up when you start it and is fully playable. There is a difference between something not working, and something not living up to personal expectations.
Sorry. Blizzard made the game. The fact that you don’t like it is not necessarily their fault. You could have waited, watched videos, there was a free weekend and also, if 70 euros/pounds/dollars weight that heavy on your wallet, don’t freaking buy video games. There is a lot of free2play games out there that are a lot of fun. Please, stop making other people/companies responsible for you guys not having fun or having problems.
You missed the working as intended part where its not, if this is what they intended they wouldnt be doing cringe campfire talks every week.
Still getting pocket money from mummy and daddy I see.
yeah barbarian in beta has nothing to do with the shitty nerfed class that its now. I tried other classes but i dont have fun with them. so ye they broke couple of months after the beta so we cant ask for a refund. so ye its kinda scam.
The same thoughts as me Beta - release was different, release - patch 1.1.0 was different to both release and beta, they completely changed the way the game was played and classes acted. Only way to explain it is, its as if a company was making a batman game in beta, superman in release and then robin come patch 1.1.0 its not what the customer wanted or bought but theyre forced to accept it.
The game did work as intended, but what the devs intend and what the players want are different things. They need feedback and data collection from millions of players to improve the game, and they can only get that post launch, hence the updates and campfire chats now.
Adding childish insults to your posts doesn’t exactly strengthen your arguments.
Nor does insinuating someone shouldnt buy a game if theyre not wealthy (not your post btw, tried to multi quote but failed <3) having money or not doesnt effect your consumer rights.
And also on your first part of the post, that’s what beta is for both alpha and beta, a game should be polished before release, if its not then simply dont release it. That’s not just a Diablo problem but the games industry as a whole.
Too many people use beta as a try before you buy, not to test what it’s supposed to be. Most play the game, give no feedback, and then expect the developers to sort the issues prior to release. If you’re getting people to test, they really need to provide accurate information for the privilege, and then on that, the devs need to listen to the information they provide.
That was the reason they didn’t let us play above lvl 25 in betas. Cause there is no end game and we would see that we will waste our money if we buy it.
I agree, Beta’s are nothing more than glorified demo’s these days, a marketing tool. But it has been like that for a long time now in the industry, shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Knowing how the industry works, then still buy the game on launch and complain about it is like complaining water is wet. Buying a game on launch is a gamble, if you dont wanna gamble, maybe concider waiting to buy, till you see reviews/feedback from others.
The endgame in Diablo games is grinding gear, and D4 has more ways of grinding gear than any other Diablo game had
Like ive stated a few times over various posts the game i paid for isnt the game that we have now, thats where the issue lies. Beta was ok, a few things got ironed out, release again was ok a few issues which should have been ironed out in patch 1.1.0, but then Blizzard have completely lost the plot, instead of reverting changes, they’ve isolated the people that have paid hard earned cash for, then when people complain about wanting refunds, they’re told you should have done more research. Unfortunately no ammount of research can prepare you for that.
That is true, and i agree that the latest patch was a major fail, even the devs agree on that. This is a live service game, things are gonna change, sometimes for the better, and unfortunatly sometimes for the worse. But at the end of the day, what could you do at launch, that you cant do now? aside from killing Uber Lilith in 20 seconds with exploits. Personally i havent felt that big of a difference, i had to redesign some of my builds due to the changes, but i can still play the game just as well as before.
