I killed Ashava in history and nothing happened. I am stuck

I just killed Ashava in history and nothing happened. The yellow area still appears and the objective list “defeat Ashava” is marked as incomplete. I can’t continue because defeating Ashava opens the gate.

Necromancer level 46, full inventory. If relevant. Do I have to log out and log in again to defeat it again? Is there a solution to avoid this?

sorry to read this, i hope the Blizz team gives you the reward, btw, for me was too shiny, there are so more good trophys like demons heads, etc. Also i don´t know why i only get ghost horses XD hahaha man, for real, i think my problem is worse, i only get ghost horses and nothing more, is like wtf? and everyone with a lot of skins, etc. I have done more than 30 legion events, and only get ghost horses!!! DUDE.

Nah, i know Blizz hates me, and want to destroy my life, that´s why they allow hackers in my game, is not the first time. Don´t trust the company, they are corrupt. And…i hope you get your horn trophy.

I solved reconnecting and defeat it again. From now I am following these tips before a battle:

  • Don’t fight with full inventory.
  • Try to last hit the boss in the middle of the area, never in an ambiguous zone.

@humgawz It dropped me a normal weapon and a good ring, but that’s all, I killed that thing as part of the story and I think they only drop skins and this stuff when it is an event. Now I finished the story, let’s see if I am luckier! Thanks for your response!

The same thing just happened to me. I had a full inventory and the game soft locked after I defeated Ashava. I’m going to try emptying my inventory and do it again. Hopefully

Ran into the same issue, using Gamepass version, latest Windows 11 version and latest Nvidia drivers.

I’m also playing as a Necromancer although I didn’t have a full inventory when it happened to me, I defeated the boss and then somehow died when he died, the game didn’t count it as if I had beaten it, so I had to give it a couple of more retries until I took him down again, yet it didn’t counted, despite defeating the boss, the game was still asking me to take him out.

I try leaving the game and going back at it again, but doing this resets the quest at the beginning of the area… so I ended up just giving up on the quest altogether, I’ll come back later to it.
