The storyline of this game is amazing and fits the Diablo Universe perfectly… being forced into a massive multiplayer experience clearly doesn’t!
We are supposed to be the lonely wandering hero battling hordes of evil, instead it’s hordes of „lonely“ heroes stomping over a few scared monsters that are all dead before you can even reach one. This completely kills immersion and doesn’t fit the lore at all!
It’s okay to see other players in town i guess, other than that we NEED the option to deactivate forced multiplayer.
I am a social player, i play with a few friends (maximum party of 4 fits the Lore) but being forced into this weird zerg fest just feels completely off and should bother anyone who remotely cares about the RPG part of this game.
I really enjoyed the game when no other random players are around and as I can see many other players feel the same way!
Please Blizzard, fix this for the release!
Even if I don’t intend to use it, it would be a really great feature for people that don’t want multi content. Something like offline mode in some games when some options are restricted or do not show at all.
As for the lore, think you missed something, in previous games yes we played solo (usually) but the history tells us about groups of heroes. In diablo 1 it was Aiden son of Leoric and his two companions. In diablo 2 it was also really a group effort. Rhykker has done some great diablo lore videos and it’s greatly explained there also.
Yeah, that’s what i mentioned. it always was a small group of heroes (hence Party size of 4) and never countless random strangers following the same goal as you, outnumbering the evil opponents
yes, yes and YES! we really need a fix on this! has been adresses by many people and is considered a major game design flaw in the community! it doesnt add up with the story or the lore… at least let the player decide if he wants to be around countless strangers all the time when playing a game like this.
