I dropped off after season 1 after burn out because I felt diablo 4 lacked alot.
Went back now without the expansion and tbh I’m having fun with what has changed since then.
But reading on Reddit and even the forum there’s literally no one talking good about the game.
It’s most about how greedy blizzard are and Poe 2, which I have no interest in as its too time consuming.
I can clearly see the game has it flaws, but all the negativity makes me draw away from the game because I feel like I am the only one having a good time.

The situation hasn’t changed much:
- same pointless grind of the same soulless activities with pretty much nothing to show for it. You can grind for weeks and not get a single upgrade - or even worse, find something that is an upgrade and brick it tempering;
- same way of building without any originality - you either pick out of a handful of builds shoehorned by them for the season or knowingly handicap yourself in what already is a very lacking experience;
- same problems with scaling and multipliers;
- same re-occuring bugs from season to season with terrible game & server stability;
And the list can go on and on…
I have said this since early access: I would rather them stop seasonal development for at least 6 months and fix the core game! Anything you add on top of a crumbling foundation is just not going to be viable. But hey, they’d rather sell battlepasses - so here we are!
Honestly, knowing Rod’s track record in the industry, I seriously doubt the game will be enjoyable in the foreseeable future.

there was a “peak” in s4
the biggest changes they ever made to the game in the right direction , but that’s the only time i felt hope for this impostor of an arpg.
Then they announced an expension for 40$ , to put on a lackluster base.
who asked for it ? still wondering
Negative emotions have higher impact. Usually, those who enjoy will not leave any feedback, but it depends on the character also. Anyway, there is always room for improvements
Let me see,they releaseed a game that wasnt tested and buggy, ppl said give it time.After a year released a expansion ,made the game worse d/c s ,crashes,bugs and made a class that made all the other classes redundant…then after a few weeks reduced the expansion price… Is that enough explaning?

If you enjoy the game, then stay and play. I bought the game 3 months after release and have had and continue to have a blast with the game.
Only those with a negative outlook on the game and/or Blizzard post with very few posting that they actually enjoy the game. I’m all for constructive critiscism, but people on here and Reddit do seem to take it to the Nth degree!
Both here and Reddit can be toxic if you speak out against the negativity, always get downvoted on Reddit if you declare you like the game.
Both are fine, if you ask me… the flagging/downvoting I disagree with - it doesn’t help anything (one way or the other).
You know what is actually worse? Apathy and people moving on. How do you think that plays out?
Well no way im gonna pay for MXT item shop update.
Witing for PoE2 and its FREE.
Early access is not free though. Full release is not going to be for another 6+ months.
Still people enjoy the game, the hrs i played makes the price a superbargain. And if your done then play something else how hard can it be??
i love the game mainly becous i can play it solo the less interaction whit others the better, no drama no insults no toxic behaviour.
negativity started after the constructive criticism.
Comments about the game started at the first at the endgame closed beta but blizzard never listened.
so yeah, we tried, you can check my first comments on the forums, they are about balance, bugs, endgame, and a lot of other stuff to improve the game.
Patience is gone now , that’s it, still feel betrayed.
I enjoy 5 minutes at a time before the game crashes. It’s the most unstable game I have ever played. Ever since the Halloween patch it has been crashing non-stop. The Blizzard support staff are resolving tickets by telling you to restart your computer despite the game engine being the problem.
The worst part is listening to them talking about new artwork instead of just fixing their horrible game. Don’t paint a car that crashes all the time. It’s very junior thinking by this era’s Blizzard employees, and there’s no question that it will drop to 100 active players in a few weeks when PoE 2 launches.

It’s a little difficult to enjoy a game which crashes on opening.
unfit woke(doormat?) outright realfan-gaslighting trolling crapteam of devs deserve to hear all this.
the leads should be replaced. and not be anywhere near d5.

Tbh at this point the candy crush saga has more depth than this game. it look to me like paying for a 5 star restaurant with Michelin stars and the best part of your meal is a coca cola.
I couldn’t stand WoW anymore because i hate joining guilds and groups full of stupid kids (and because i hate that go go go run run run, not counting the nedd to be available when they decide to do the runs).
I left PoE because to go ahead, i must group with unknown people (and i’m not even sure i could find any).
So i bought Diablo IV, even after having read so bad stuff about it. I played Diablo 3 for long time and found it enjoyable playing it on my own.
Now i found myself stuck because some ‘smart’ guy at Blizzard decided that to get in the Halls of Judgement i must find at least another player.
That’s BS! Diablo isn’t listed as a MMORPG anywhere. I should be able to play and finish the game on my own (as it was on Diablo 3).
I really can’t understand this need (not just Blizzard) to force people to group togheter j to simply enjoy a game. What a bunch of ‘smart’ developers

I played most of the seasons and since S3 and mostly S4 for me it’s going worse towards D3. I want vanilla back with some QOL changes that has been done.
I made a refund at the launch and now the price seems more in line with what you get with the expansion.
Though I’m still thinking… could price reduction be even more in the near future ?
I’m in no hurry to play the game right now really.
Oh yes. After each Season the game started to feel more and more D3 and leveling and exploration in the game was removed more and more. It formed in to rush to max level and start running Rifts 24/7 like in D3.
I really did enjoy the game at the launch… like the overall systems but it was just missing some few important end game activities… and of course the itemization wasn’t very good with the huge amount of affixes in the game etc.
But I have to say I don’t like the tempering system so much either…
