What is the point of the story??? The entire game we follow after Lillith until finally we reach her and smack her down like a little bug in the windshield. And suddenly the entire story is “Supplise butts…! it was only to get you to the prime evils again!!”
It took you this long to write a story so unimaginative it could be done by Bobby himself.
Only thing that saves face in this game is the amazing art in both the game and the videos.

You’re surprised about two things
- We beat the main focus of the story at the end of the campaign?
- The story includes the prime evils, in a game called Diablo which is about defeating the Prime Evils and keeping them at bay?
I thought the D4 story was about the best done story in the Diablo franchise to date, and the best Blizzard story since the Lich King in Warcraft. That doesn’t mean it’s the greatest story ever told, but as far as video game stories go this is up there with about the best of them.
If you want an deep and meaningful story go play a JRPG, but I’m not really sure what you’re complaining about. What would you have preferred?

I don’t think it’s bad but all this “lets get this artifact and this and with the power of that we’ll stop them” but in the end it’s just…“lets go hero, just smash them all solo and it’s done”.

i think the only problem there weren’t enough CGI and intense mid game.
Id go as far as to say its the best story in a blizzard game in a long time. The character development is really good, the story makes sense, the voice acting is awesome and the way it ended is setting up for continuation of the story forward with diablo 4.
Echoing “LOL BAD STORY” because you cant appriciate or understand it? “so unimaginative”. Its not. Its a good story. Is it a fkn dostojevski? No. But something tells me thats not what youre reading in your spare time anyway.

I think it’s great so far… into Act 4 now. The side quests are really good as well.

Not sure what is wrong with this current generation of softcore gamers, posting spoilers and being toxic in providing “feedback”. 
But I absolutely loved the campaign, best to date. Agreed.

The story is pretty good tbh, i think and thats just my take, blizzard can come up with the most incredible game story wise there are people who just are going to say its bad, dumb, wrong take. You guys are rlly insane.
Can we get this as an automatic reply to any further “waaah, I don’t like/understand the campaign story” threads?

I think the story is really cool, probable the ones saying other things its because they didnt follow with the lore, but it is there.
Anyway, i just realized people like to complaint because they might be bored, cause some times there are no really good points on those…
Story spoilers
They repeat it literally dozens of time. Stop Lilith from getting to hell, absorbing her father’s essence and becoming even stronger than she already is so she can dominate Sanctuary and Hell.
The game ends on a cliff-hanger which sets up the upcoming expansion. Not sure how you missed this. Lilith repeats it a few times, Lorath repeats it probably a dozen or so times. Neyelle, Donan, Lorath and the player character discuss it a few times… Maybe lay off the good stuff and pay attention?
