A 25$/€ skin in a video game may sound absolutely bad and overpriced, but there is always worse.
Apple is still selling since its introduction a Monitor stand for 1000$/€ on average price.
I am not saying the pricing and monetizing of video games today is perfect, but at least Blizzard isn’t trying to sell us some parts of metal with screws and a padding as a “monitor stand” for 1000€/$.
If you want to see it for yourself, just google “Apple Pro Stand”. That’s where real greed lies.
Edit: And the Skins in Diablo IV are at least colorizable and can be combined with different item transmogs.
Well i got sold an D3 clone which is far worse then D3. But it got praised as an “endgame rich, build diversity fine game”. So i got scammed. Apple is not saying that you can fly with the monitor stand or that is so much better than other monitor stands does it?
And having ingame shop, after 70 dollar release + 20 dollar few day eaerlier release is beyond greedy.
Now what can we learn from your example. Saying blizz is not as greedy as apple OR we just accept that both companies are super shetty and greedy and live by their glorious past, name and reputation, only bought by their fanboy andies (or when tricked, ty bli$$ard) and to avoid both companies in the future? I will go for the latter, but yeah, nice try to justify greed and change the subject from bli$$ard to apple
