Imbuement change 2.0

Let’s for example ditch the whole Imbuement skill in the tech tree.

And make it that every skill you can select has a special imbuement to it.

Lets say 5 types of imbuement Cold / Fire / Shadow / Poison / Electric.

With every type a different effect of the skill you put on it.

For Cold- chance to slow or freeze an enemy
Fire to burn over time
Shadow to explode on death
Poison - To give a dot
Electric - chance to stun

Now every skill in tech tree gets 5 toggles or slots. Whatever the devs like to create.
So now you can change for example Barrage and imbue with Fire. Now Barrage is a Fire type skill. See it as Crafting on to your skills.

But now Barrage is Perma Fire skill.

Now you can easly diverse your build with different imbuements types.
Instead of losing a skill slot to imbue your weapons on time basis.

If you wanna change up Barrage just toggle a different imbuement.

For example i can select which effect Smoke grenades would turn into.

Fire Grenades or Poison Grenades.

With a system like this the roque would open up to many different builds.

Neat idea, but the imbuements are so strong to be permanently added to skills. So they would have to rebalance them entirely. Id like to see more types, like you gave an example electric, or ground or whatever else, but having them add permanently i think would be too strong.
