Dear Blizzard, whoever thinks this new version of soulspires was a good idea… Please let them know they are wrong. Hordes are a fantastic game activity, but those new soulspires are freaking terrible. I honestly hate playing now, due to them being complete crap. They were somewhat ok in the previous form, as you could get progression by simply standing inside the circle, the new version where you have to have the monsters in there with you… well … I am beyond words. I’ve run like 4 different builds and it only gets worse if I run something like hydra and are unable to get monster to come to me… as I kill them from a far… Just fix it… Take away soulspires alltogether, whatever… just make is les hatefull to play. All my friends agree, it is a horrible change. And we sort of HAVE to play it now… and souldspires spawns like nothing else in the entire game… I mean… did this go through quality control?
Please fix this, make some positive change to soulspires. They just take the fun away from something great in the game… It is maybe even more horrible when you play with friends… As thing just die, and you get no progression…

Preach. In a relatively empty season that’s supposed to be focused on internal hordes they’ve made Internal Hordes WORSE lol couldn’t make it up. On top of the ridiculous soul spire thing you mentioned they’ve made the options worse as well imo, trying to shoehorn in “chance on spawn” stuff rather than just letting things like Hellborn spawn on their own.
This has so far been the most disappointing season for me. The only positive so far is that the season rep can be gained from most activities.
Same experience here…I did look up the changes with Soulspires because it felt really worse than what they are now.
Y’know the chaos soulspires events in the outside world and dungeons, that’s how it should feel. Soulspire spawns monsters non-stop near it until it’s destroyed. Voila, now it’s fun.

+1 on ‘‘chance on spawn’’ modifiers. Felt like it was 20-25% chances, that’s so bad. On a 10 wave run, remove 2 choices if you pick chaos waves, then at MAX you get 8 choices of modifiers, they gotta be good bruh!!

Yep thats Blizzard at its finest, screw everything over that was actually fun destroy it and to make matters worse pump up the prices. We get 60 Seconds and at times you waste like 10 seconds inside a soulspire gaining 2 aether just to see the next Soulspire spawn with no mobs in sight. Hellborne was the got to in previous season those get nerfed to hell and back. The woorst thing was soulspires they get nerfed too. The choices now are a pain in the behind and just because they think its funny they double the price on the gear chest.
So to recap, they pumped up the price but cut the gain on eather, that sounds like alot of fun, not sure about the droprate of compasses but that also feels nerfed too. So all they did is worsen the gameplay worsen gain and double the prices. Good job Blizzard don´t tell the fool who did this that he/she was wrong, fire the god damn moron, I think we have bled more than enough stop always thinking about how to destroy the few things that were actually fun. Damn you people are so annoying

I agree. Very bad change. I’m playing Heartseeker and I constantly have to reposition to lure enemies into the circle, which wastes a lot of time. I usually just ignore spires unless I have the one that lets them eat mobs and spit out aether, but eventually I get stuck with 4 of them and have no choice. I’m not failing the mechanic because my build is bad or I’m playing badly, I’m failing because the mechanics are inherently anti-ranged builds. Please revert ASAP.
Otherwise, enjoying the season overall.
100% for every word! Somehow right now infernal hords fill much worst than before patch. They broke strategy with Helldudes completly. Especialy on start it`s super hard even colect 666 ashes for boss.

Could not agree more what was already pretty boring now has got worse.
just delete soulspires everyone will be happy (except those one dev who actually designing them)
