Is masterwork now the new upgrade? Do you have to do pit and nightmare 46 before you can “masterwork/upgrade” your gear?
Yes, that is the “new” thing but I do personally like it very much.
I would recommend not getting into it until the next patch incoming some day. They said theres going to be money related changes so it might get cheaper to do that stuff after the patch.
Only lvl 12 Masterworking has significant reduce in gold. So no need to wait for the patch. Look:
Ranks 1-4: Unchanged
Rank 5: reduced from 450,000 to 400,000
Rank 8: reduced from 1,000,000 to 800,000
Rank 12: reduced from 10,000,000 to 2,500,000

And to be honest thats very low drop for the gold use. Im more annoyed about the restart 5 million payment.
