I have played minion builds across many ARPGs and there are very few who get it right. Here is why. The developers want to produce a well-balanced game where necros don’t just become the default class for stomping the world they build or the servers they house. They envision a world where people enjoy their dynamic scaling. That they picture people skilfully playing.
Fans of necromancers want to live out the fantasy of stomping the game with a legion of you and your undead mates. Summoning Necromancer is never about skill. It’s about raw power and the legions of undead at your command.

Change spec. I’m a massive fan of summons but I changed to a bone spec build and even using my summons gear I’m doing twice the damage with more survivability. It sucks so bad that that is the case.
If there is no balance changes next update, I’m out. Back to PoE.

I did and its super fun. Basically, on maps for Last Epoch. I really love how they do minions in that game. Not as refined as POE but miles ahead of D4. Though they still in beta, since I played. I am looking forward to what they do with that the game.
Is mob density on epoch as good as PoE?
I would say around 10 to 20ish % less than poe, depending on the zone. You can tell they are an indie lot, the mob density is not as thick as poe. In poe I don’t know how they do it. Actually have the mob density that high with all those spell effects. Sometimes you can see they want more in Last Epoch, though the engine chugs a bit. Though still in beta. I would say if you wanted a really refined summoner ARPG. POE, a learning curve though. If you just wana muck about Last Epoch. I actually think D4 has the better story of the 3. Some of the side Quests in D4 are pretty good. Though D4 plays more like an mmo and that kinda put me off lost ark. D4 has promise though. I personally think if they focus on the ARPG aspect of D4. In around 5 to 6 months. The game will probs be way more fun.
Oh I’m a PoE Vet don’t worry. And I play summon builds in that too.
