As per heading - seriously why make em so hard to obtain? Me and my wife spent over 1k boss mats on T3 and got 2 legendary runes. In doing those we got 2 useless unique items.
Harmony tributes are pretty much a complete waste of time so yeah BLIZZ lets make life a little easier. I don’t want endgame given to me but show me a possible path that i can follow. CHEERS.
would be something if it was possible to transmute runes.
but i suppose that’s the same rng spin so would just be a waste.
Go T4…
Doesn’t get better that this…
Legendary rune drop rates never made sense to me. For both season 6 and 7 i managed to get all mythics in the game before finding 6 of any one rune needed to craft said mythics.
Even this season with its atrocious droprates i have found more mythics than runes.
Runes also don’t have any OFFICIAL drop rates, and once more, its another pure and simple RNG on this game.
Basically D4 is a big RNG game:
- Mythics drops,
- Runes drops,
- Masterworking…
I think the correct wording is, RDI “random dropped item”
Basically, random equals probability. It evens out. Some are lucky and some are unlucky but everyone get something. Everyone get a couple of legendary runes, no one get many; all get about the same. One guy get 4, the other get 2 and there’s a lucky sod who get 6, but no one get 12 because that’s outside of the probability field. u c how that random is actually an ordered thing, not total chaos.
No, random is not ordered…
Some learning reading about RNG: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random_number_generation&ved=2ahUKEwidiIW3kZuNAxUkK_sDHQTxBNQQFnoECCIQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3kjBcKww3qoANCuZHaE8BL
it is ordered, that’s the probability.
No, there’s no probability on RNG.
Learn your maths!
That’s asinine. Randomness is probability.
Light has 5/100 to be reflected by glass. It’s always that. Out of a 100 photons passing the glass, on average 5 will be reflected. That’s probability.
RNG can give, for instance, number 10 once in 100 tries, and then can give it again in 1000 tries.
Wich probability is that???
1/100 or 1/1000?
Please enlighten me…
That depends on how many 10’s are in the pool of potential outcomes, aswell as the ammount and variery of numbers in the pool of potential outcomes.
neither of us are mathematics teachers.
just want to point that out.
if you have 1/1000 to win, you have 999/1000 to lose.
You spin the wheel a thousand times.
The law of multiplicity then dictate that you have:
(999/1000)^1000 ~ 0.368 = 36.8% probability to never win once, and that means you have:
1 - 0.368 = 0.632 = 63.2% chance to win at least once in that series.
my combinatorics are rusty and i never really got it either as it’s hard af. but i’ll work on that later. i’ll be back in a few years to give you the wholesome statement.
the point is that this isn’t total chaos as you suggest, this is how it is. And it’s not easy to understand or grasp. The mind doesn’t understand probability because nothing in nature works like that. The water always boil when you heat it and the ball always bounce against the rock.
Actually its pretty easy to grasp, all you need is to understand the basic principles of a dice roll. Dice are by definition random number generators. You dont need to understand the complex math behind it, the basic principle is enough.
With the whole Rune thing as well not to mention how boring Undercity is of a grind. I can only chalk this up to idiocy why can’t you bargain for more runes at the Undercity altar? Not only that Rune text should match rarity or at least give us a setting for that.
