Limited Tempering is good, however....(Feedback and suggestions)

Limited tempering and bricking of items.
This is good. I know its frustrating but this + the improved trading, actually keeps the game alive. Keeps the economy fresh. However there are things that really need improvement and changing that will make this more bearable and not so frustrating for many ppl.

  • Those are my thoughts and feedback. I played Barb mainly. And managed to self found and gear my self to reach lvl 90pit and kill all Tormented bosses + Uber Lillith in 3-4 days.
    Usually at this point ill just stop. There is no point of continue playing. But this new itemization system actually sctratch that ich i was missing in the modern diablo games. That feel i had in Diablo 2. Where i was thinking before going to bed - " Just one more run… maybe something cool will drop. Even if i dont need it… it may be valuable and get me some gold so i can try and improve something i have. " However… like i said. The current way feels mostly annoying and requires too much time and effort to justify the frustration of failing to get the right Tempered mods. And in my opinion this can be fixed by simple adjustments to the drop rates of items with greater affixes. Im playing for a week. I have not yet found one single 3star(3GA) item. THe double GA items i found are not more than 10. I know its just RNG but its not fun when you know even if you find something u want with the perfect stats… The chance of it bricking is also very high.
    Does it worth it… the minor stat increase for the insane amount of time invested? Here i see many ppl just giving up. Anyway. Here are few suggestions (feel free to disagree) that imo will help the game and make it more enjoyable without hurting its longevity.
  1. Improve the greater affix drop chance in higher LVL areas - I feel if you are fighting lvl 100+ monsters you should find items with 1 GA fairly common. Like 50% of the time. Start killing lvl 200 monsters and your chances for 2 GA items becomes like 20-25%. THat includes tormented bosses and pit lvl 100+. It will add bigger instentive to push high PITs. 3GAs should remain rare and exciting to find. Overall having more items we chose to temper/reroll will relieve some of the frustration, knowing you can try again soon.
  2. Make it impossible to Temper into the same affix two times in a row. Simple as that.
  3. Greater Enchanting - add a special material - farmable from bosses and high level areas, that allow us to reroll an affix on item (enchanging) in to another random greater affix. It should be fairly rare. Maybe like a spark.
  4. Allow us to Temper 1 additional affix to UNIQUE items. (uber uniques as well). Honestly… the whole itemization system is good… but it made unique items 90% of the time useless… Unless they are build enabler. Even uber uniques feel like they are not worth the tormented boss farm and the stygian stones.
  5. Speaking of Stygian stones - When your best option to get those materials is leveling a new character and get them from the reputation reward… You have a problem. FIx it. 1 Week farming pits to upgrade my gear multple times - 3 drops. And for what? Useles uber uniques? Increase the drop chance. With the changes above it will make it worth it and killing the tormented bosses an exciting engame farm.
  6. Increase the material drop from high lvl PITs. Make so Masterworking does not feel like a chore, but exciting way to try and FIX your item, while farming for stygian stones and more items. Right now all i feel im doing is wasting time to farm mats… Nothing good drops… no stygian stones… Just mindless grind with close to 0 chance for something cool to happen.
  7. Speaking of frustrating pit runs - Please fix the bosses. There are SOOO many mechanic overlaps that are str8 up unavoidable 1shot deaths. Its just annoying at this point.
  8. Buff Uber Lillith drop chance of items. Can we please make the hardest fight in the game actually worth farming? Make it so it have a good chance to drop Stygian stones at least. Its free to attempt but it is the hardest mechanical fight.

Thats my feedback and suggestions at this point. If all those things came true. We will still have the economy. We will have the hunt for perfect item alive. We will have a complete engame loop of farm that rewards your time and effort. Farming lvl 200 monsters and bosses that actually have something good that drops. Basically mix up all the systems to be supported by eachother and doing one thing should not feel like a waste of time for the other.
