Looking for advice for my Ice Shard build

Hello there.

I recently purchased the game and have been playing Sorcerer trying to make a build around the Ice Shard skill with only Frost abilities. So far I have been able to reach Torment 3 and I can farm most of the content without issues. My highest Pit run is Lv 55. I only struggle with Bosses.

Although I know there are a few things I could do to improve my current build, they are mostly based on RNG. Outside of that, I am at a loss if there is anything else I could do to improve my build, e.g. Tempering and Masterwoking Attributes or the Paragon Boards and Glyphs.

For this reason I am seeking assistance and others opinion on the matter. Note, I am not looking for a ‘cookie-cutter build’ or a ‘top build’ to clear the Season, just for potential adjustments I may have missed or changes I should make due to me misunderstanding certain mechanics like damage stack, e.g. Cold, Vulnerable, Critical Damage.

  • Ice Shards (Rank 30) ricochet as long as I have a barrier.
  • Frost Nova (Rank 5) applies vulnerable.
  • Blizzard (Rank 1 and Enchanted) with mana regen.
  • Ice Armor (Rank 1) with cooldown reduction by spending mana.
  • Deep Freeze. (Rank 5)
