A quick tip, go smash events for Obols. In WT3 I get 58-ish Obels per event, which takes 1 min to clear. Then go gamble. I get about 10-15 legendaries per hour that way.
The problem isnāt the drop rate for me, itās the quality of the items⦠I did one of the story quests at lv 50 and got a legendary 2h mace that was lv 38⦠it was almost identical to my lv 42 2h mace, right down to the stats⦠which I got on a side quest some 5 levels before.
If we have to fight same level mobs⦠we should be getting same lvl drops, the quality of those drops can then be fairly rng⦠but they have to be close to our actual level, getting stuff that is 10+ levels below us is just a waste of our time.
So that the chads in this community drown it in their salty tears after seeing their favourite streamer get a full stash of legendaries after a few days of 24/7 farming? No thanks, weāve been through that. Iām personally fine with the drop rate not being high.
You do realise there are other ways to learn the games mechanics beyond simply playing the game donāt you? Rather interesting that you choose to ignore the more salient points I was attempting to get across and instead you simply focus on the āyou have no valid experienceā garbage as the basis for your response!
So you were complaining the legendary drop rates were too high and you wanted them nerfed, but now youāre complaining that you arenāt getting enough legendaries so that you can salvage them and use the mats to imprint a weapon?
Very first paragraph of your comment you state āat endgame it is balanced so that crafting is expensive and requires materials from salvaging a LOT of legendariesā, but previously you were saying that the legendary drop rates were too high and that you had āa full bank tab of legendaries waiting to be salvaged/extractedā! Now it seems that youāre saying that full bank tab of legendaries wasnāt enough and you now need lots more?
So which is it? Is the legendary drop rate too high? Or is it too low? Or is it ābalanced so that crafting is expensive and requires materials from salvaging a LOT of legendariesā?
Sure, maybe if you did you wouldnāt be talking about āRNGā while youāre level 20 and 3 hours into the game, still clinging to this idea that the droprates are low. Meanwhile I just salvaged 15 legendary weapons so I could imprint one item.
No I didnāt, I have never had a problem with the droprates. My point all along was I didnāt think the ālowā droprates were representative and I said they would increase a lot at higher levels for all the obvious reasons, and I was more correct than I could even imagine.
Maybe you should keep track of who youāre arguing with, or maybe just go play the game so you can contribute more than your imagination.
It is high, Iām salvaging legendaries on a constant basis and my bank is full + needing sorting. The only issue is the limit on 4 bank tabs.
You are level 20 and have no idea about the game. It is not an insult or an affront, just an observation. The drop rates for legendaries are RIDICULOUSLY high once you get past a certain level. It will literally rain down legendary after legendary item. You can choose not to believe my comments, but if you actually played the game, you would have realized the truth by now. I wished they kept the drop rate as it is on lower levels , as that is actually a good rate. It is not fun to be constantly showered in legendaries to the point that you are actually numb to them dropping.
Iāve only been playing my Barbarian, Iām level 65 now. The legendary droprate increases substantially on WT3 (WT4 seems about the same as WT3, but higher level), but really the higher level you go in WT1 the more legendaries you get as more of them become available to drop and possibly the droprate also increases naturally (speculation?).
We saw it on the beta, people would farm the higher level stronghold areas and reset them over and over because they dropped the most legendaries. No point in resetting strongholds in the full game.
I had the most success in the PvP zone (fields of hatred) while I was still on WT1 doing the campaign, thatās where I got most of my items, you can just run around farming the wandering mini-world boss and events over and over, plus there are a lot of clustered packs of elites near the altar areas you can do between, you get a tonne of orbs and high chance for legendaries doing this method.
On WT3 + the Helltide seems the best place you can farm while itās active, Fields of Hatred still good for the same reasons.
I think they listened XD.
Iām swimming in legendaries after level 50. But a lot of useless ones for my necro.
Now i wish Uniques dropped a lot more lol.
Please do show where Iām apparently āclinging to this idea that the droprates are lowā! Not once have I said that I think the drop rates are either too low nor too high. Iāve merely been trying to get people to understand that when you complain about such things itās just your own personal experience! Unsurprisingly thereās a much bigger player base than just you to also take into consideration! Itās akin to everyone having their own personal opinions. Many will have differing opinions, but just because someone has a different opinion to you doesnāt simply make it an invalid opinion!
As Iāve said, a few times now, what YOU get is what YOU get. Itās merely YOUR personal experience! I donāt need to have played over 5,000 hours, have multiple level 100 characters and have completed all World Tiers, etc etc to understand that!
Once again youāre dismissive because you say that I have āno valid experienceā simply because you are basing that on what level my characters are and how much of this game Iāve played! Seriously, your elitist attitude is really starting to show! I merely mentioned the characters I currently have, but I didnāt mention anything about characters Iāve rushed through the game but then deleted did I? Did you even consider that I had some HC characters that got to higher levels but died?
Blizzard will likely make adjustments as time passes and they are able to really analyze the info, data and feedback that theyāre accumulating from all players. Whether they adjust up or down remains to be seen. One thing Iāve learnt about Blizzard over the years of playing their games is that Blizzard will do what Blizzard wants to do and thatās not always what players want Blizzard to do!
Youāre wrong. Stop with this nonsense because you got low drops at low level, do you not understand how the damn game works?
The droprate is not personal in this context, itās largely consistent and clear because we are all playing the same percentages and they will average out over a few play sessions, there is ample data to indicate how high the drop rates are.
There are several avenues that have very close to a 100% drop rate for at least 1 legendary, with some being a 100%. You just play the game and you will get legendaries on a consistent basis.
Now go play the game past level 20 and stop talking absolute crap.
As per usual, you merely focus on a small part of my entire comment, take it out of context and then end by throwing a few more insults around!
This lie yet again? I havenāt once complained about getting low drops at low level. Nor have I complained about overall drop rates being either too high or too low! So once again I ask: Either prove I said what you claim or STFU!
Seeing as you clearly fail to understand my point, hereās a quick little example:
Two players complete an event. Once the event ends, they each gather their loot. One player gets two rares and a magic while the other player gets a single rare. Thatās the personal experience I refer too!
Yes, I know there are numerous avenues and options for increasing and/or boosting the chances of getting legendary drops, I also know that there are quest rewards, World Boss drops, etc etc that give a 100% chance of getting a legendary. I also know that drop rates scale upwards as your character level increases and you advance to higher World Tiers and so on, and so on!
The fact that you keep making some pretty massive assumptions about what I may or may not know is just hilarious! Now I do accept that I failed to clarify in my earlier post (where I mentioned my characters) that I was actually referring to my current characters. I merely excluded both the deleted characters that Iād decided not to continue with and the HC characters that had died. Simply didnāt see any point in mentioning characters that were no longer available to be played! shrug
Seeing as youāre insisting on making such a big deal about this, Iāve already played the game way past level 20, but again it seems that little point (clues are in the same post you just used a small piece to quote from) either flew way over your head or you deliberately chose to ignore it because it illustrates just how wrong youāve been about what my knowledge of the game may be!
Iām done with this, your awful elitist attitude is just going to lead into some even worse toxic behaviour and Iām simply not interested in having to deal with such garbage attitudes any longer!
Ahh yes my awful elitist attitude where youāre still pretending that your pre-release prediction of low drop rates is true, while people are running out of bank space stashing legendaries that need to be salvaged in bulk.
Itās so elitist and wrong of me to point out the facts instead of preserving peopleās pride and feelings.
That depends on whether youāre asking about characters Iāve deleted, HC characters that have died or just my current characters. Yes, I do know that once you reach certain levels etc the drop rates for legendarys start to increase.
Previously I only referred to my current, active characters and simply didnāt see any point in either referencing nor mentioning the characters that were no longer available to play the game with. shrug
Not really sure why some folks are so dismissive as to what any other players may know about D4, nor why some seem to insist that only knowledge about D4 has any apparent value and anything that anyone may know about other games is simply meaningless and therefore has no value!
The fact youāre hanging about playing level 20 characters in act 1 while spouting pure lack of understanding for the game with confidence on the forums is evidence enough. People can do their research and understand a game, you clearly havenāt.
In spite of this you sit there pretending you have any clue at all what youāre talking about, doubling down by defending your point of view even tho itās purely wrong and purely based on inexperience and ignorance.
I have no sympathy for people like you, you make the world a worse place.
As a 58 i just want to say this, legs are dropping quite ofthen, so this is basicly intended game design, where you are not ment to get leg drops at low level.
Allso i just spendt 600 obols on the gambling vendor buying armor in one go from various categories, every 3rd item i bought became a legendaryā¦
