So I came to D4 well into season 2, hence did not experience any seasonal rotation so far. I have read everything I could find on the subject, but still have doubts. Please take a moment to confirm or deny the following points: 1)Seasonal characters will be moved to eternal realm, will lose all seasonal powers and transmogs, but WILL keep all items \ gold \ crafting components \ non seasonal transmgs. Items in stash will be moved to eternal realm stash, specifically, to a “withdraw only” tab, which has unlimited space, so that even a fully packed seasonal stash will be safely transfered to the eternal stash, without the loss of any item. 2) Summoning materials for Varshan, Gregoire and Duriel WILL be transfered and it will be possible for eternal characters to summon this bosses in the eternal realm, regardless of when \ where the summoning materials have been obtained 3) Seasonal content in the in-game shop (specifically, the “Father’s Judjment” class-specific armour bundles) will expire at the end of the season, and NEVER again be made available for purchase in the future. 4) There is NO reward \ upside for ending the season with large amounts of unused Potent blood and \ or vampiric pacts; these will simply disappear from inventory \ stash at season end, so one might as well use any leftover blood to forge pacts and sell all leftover pacts, even if it the resulting gold is a ridiculously meager amount (better than “nothing”, I guess). 5) Please list any significant change not listed above, if you have the time and inclination to do so, I believe you’ll be doing a great favor to a lot of players out there besides me. Thanks to everyone who decides to pitch in, hope to see you ever bloodthirsty and bloodsoacked in Sanctuary…
You should paragraph your post. It looks very cluttered when its just a wall of text.
In short, yes, your character and all of its progress, gear, items and materials are moved to eternal when the season ends, with the exception of items related to the time limited theme of the season, such as potent blood, pacts, cleansing acid ect.
As for seasonal cosmetics, wether from battlepass or the store, there is no way of knowing if they will return at a later time, it is not unreasonable to assume they are limited to the season, but there is no way of knowing for sure. They have been recycling seasonal cosmetics in D3 for a while, this could be the case with D4 aswell, years down the line.
To add to Point 1, you keep your seasonal transmogs that you have acquired.
Hey, thanks for helping out! Sorry about the layout, I didn’t give it any thought, just checked grammar and spelling like 10 times each; next time I’ll try to do a better job re: paragraphes. I’m not a frequent poster, only come here when I’m really lost and can’t find all the answers by myself… Thanks again!
You’re correct, basically everything will remain and be moved to Eternal, at the exception of:
- Special seasonal material (blood pacts, blood vials used for Vampiric powers or vampiric events)
- Any pact present on an armor will disappear
- The tab with all your vampiric powers will disappear, along with the powers themselves
- The Abattoir of Zir glyph will disappear from your Paragon board
- Abattoir of Zir sigils will disappear (assumed, not clarified yet by Bliz)
That’s it. All gear acquired will remain, your characters with skill tree and paragons will remain, transmogs remain, summoning materials and potions remains.
Wow, this is fantastic news, I really like the pale bone armour for bone necro, and the “bloody” one for blood necro, rogue and barb… never thought those would become permanent, this is excellent news!
You can even create a character in Eternal today and use that transmog right now. Transmogs unlock for all characters regardless of season or eternal. That’s one of the things Bliz did well
Yeah, they definitively got that one right… and some other stuff too, to be fair… Just… NOT all at once! Alright, we’ll get there, someday. Thanks for the info!
