Looking forward to release day and trying to decide on classes.
I always go mage/sorcerer and want to do something different.
Can necro be viable without pets. I always found pet classes to be too passive.
I’m hoping to play it like a dark mage/blood mage.
Thoughts?
Yeah just sacrifice them(Book of the dead) and get the bonus that seems fitting.
they are very viable just experiment i have and it works a treat just because some one says this is the best build does not mean its the only way to play get creative and your blood or darkness idea is great way to start.
Playing mostly blood without minions right now and it’s pretty comfortable. Especially in boss fights when you don’t rely on corpses to raise.
Depends, in my Experience, on which build you wanna go.
Blood Magic probably works without minions, since you have an ult, and can get tanky as heck.
Bone Magic probably works without Minions because you have an Ult and play Burst Damage.
Darkness in my Experience only works once you get the legendary effect, that turns the Ultimates into Darkness skills, because it’s a dot based Playstyle that wont let you get very tanky without Minions, but with MInions you can get 100% Fortified extremely easily.
I think in General Necro is probably one of the strongest classes, with extremely good offense and defense.

It’s almost like Blizz is playing favorites.
Just compare Necros to Sorcs.
Wouldnt surprise me, if the first Battlepass had a lot of Necro stuff in it.
Maybe that’s also the reason, that the Wraith Lord set is the only set that has stayed in Recommended in the shop.
