Necromancer corpse explosion

I have no problem with the fact that using this skill completely costs nothing to mana. I don’t consider it an exaggeration at all. Not even a little bit.

But what turns me off is the fact that some monsters, which in theory have no fleshly shell - leave a pile of meat ( read - corpses). Such as, for example: ghosts.

I think it would be fair, to put some limitation, as to the “dropped” corpses to be blown up by certain monsters. Which could affect the gameplay of this character a bit. It would certainly be interesting and reasonable.

Ghosts should certainly not leave corpses behind. Ectoplasm is not a corpse. There is no such skill as an ectoplasm explosion.

Do you have similar feelings?

Ectoplasma body think of ghostbusters haha

The fact that this skill has no cooldown and can be literally spammed is ridicules.

I completely agree with first post.
Overmore, all this dead meat on the map is quite… annoying… (sad and ugly!?!)
I wish players won’t refuse to play with necromancers because of this…
Personnaly, i could…

It would be nice to have just bodies of killed demons lying around instead of “red pies of meat”.

I hated it in D3 - it was stupid idea - but they dont have much options how to iplement this at that time … and I hate looks of those corpses in D4 too. Can we bring back regural corpses? If one or two fly away because of some kind of power attack - that’s ok - you got plenty left on the ground.

I actually logged in to D3 recently and had a round on my Necro to “refresh” my memory of the class.
It’s brilliant when you use Corpse Explosion and there are skeletons and other bits flying around when you kill a mob. I know it might be a bit demanding but it would be nice to be able to resurrect those remains instead of the provided pile of flesh. I know it’s easier to do for the sake of game mechanics, but it would be nice anyway.

One thing I wish Devs would do is to remove the corpses while we go into cut scenes, like it happens with our summoned skeletons. It would be way, way better.
Just look at that bit in the video starting at 24:00 Corpses and ending at 24:30. Just how nice the scene looks before the battle with Venarda and then how messy it is after the end.

yeah i havent played necro that much during beta, watched some of videos, boy… no CD no mana cost, just floating mist around and spam corspe explosions… like wtf… i’ve noticed many sneaky necromancer players became extremely excited and not telling anyone before the launch. They be like “ding lvl 1, ding lvl 5, ding lvl 10, ding lvl 25” in an hour, like bruhhhhhh thats not fairrrrrr

it looks bad.

I’m terribly annoyed by the appearance of these ‘‘corpses,’’ but I can see that the forum thread is unpopular and the chances are rather slim that the developers will do something about it, if people don’t start complaining about it, or pay attention.

You need corpses, its not spammable infinite, how do you people not get this?.

No one argues the “need for corpses”, it’s just that they look bad.
Or at least remove them from cut scenes.

If anything they could work a bit on the looks of the corpses on the gorund, they stand out too much from the rest of the enviroment and take on a look of shiny bubblegum.

I found that the way that the corpse explosion worked in the beta was acceptable as there is a limited range to the explosion and monsters seemed to sway away from them in some cases, atleast it was tricky to get them to walk into the path of the corpse, mostly works well in big groups.

thissssss ^^^^ why look like shiny bubble gum??? supposed to be darker and scarier not like glowing corspe marshmellow popping up makes you feel orgasm like c’mon bro this is diablo, darker diablo, more scarier

Obivously I want talking to you.

I do. From a lore perspective it does not make sense that you can life leech skeletons.

Where is gold and items hidden for skeletons and ghosts? It makes little sense.

I think this is one of those times where you cannot have both.

But the glowing corpses needs a visual pass as less “shiny bubblegum”

Also the necromancy glow looks too vivid and glowing for the dark tone of Diablo IV.

Corpse Explosion should have cost of own life. Spam that skill with no cdr or no cost is ridiculous.
