Necromancer is dead :(

I’m seriously disappointed with the Necromancer.
The first beta he was great. I ran a skill set up I call the undead commander. Maxed decomp produced corpses if set right and skeletons could hold their own for the most part which made boss fights do able.

The whole gimmick of the Necromancer is the ability to raise the dead to fight as your minions…

Server slam: first dungeon after going to cathedral of light. Cleared all the minor dungeon minions so I didn’t really get to notice the issues Get to the boss however. HE WIPES 5 SKELETONS WITH ONE 2 HIT SEQUENCE… decompose no longer produces as many body drops so I can no longer replenish undead ranks. Leaving me to dash around with what little time I have to attack due to boss teleporting across the arena to appear elbow deep in my poop shute before my next dash has recharged.

As a long time Diablo play Necro was by far my favorite class in the series. The only issue I had then was the size of conjured mob in D3. I was excited for the possibilities D4 presented in the first beta but after server slam I’m kinda let down with the new “BUFF” stats.

I don’t care for the trolls that are gunna leave their nonsensical troll comments. They are probably the very same ppl that cause all the class buffs in the first place.
At this point I’m debating on refunding my copy. Sorry blizzard as a long time supporter you shoulda left it the way it was in the first beta.

After D2 and D3 this shouldn’t be a surprise and it will continue throughout seasons too. It’s always the same. That’s why I am surprised by the fact that after decades they still have no refinement in balancing classes. Unless I’m missing a crucial step that makes it impossible to balance in 5% steps and not like 80%

Necromancer is now useless against bosses. They turned it from a OP class to a garbage class. Right now, I kinda feel so frustrated, that I just don’t want to continue anymore. I’m slowly lose my interest in getting those beta rewards.

Well done, the full game isn’t out yet and I already start losing interest. I would say, just give all the rewards to everyone, even if they didn’t completed some tasks. Because this unbalanced shit is just aweful.

I’m now forced to start all over again, with a other class. Otherwise it’s impossible to gain all the rewards.

The necro feels fine now.

I played necro at 25 on both of the initial betas on T2 - they were OP and I crushed things in comparison to the Barb which I started with. This made the necro less fun, as I felt no risk of dying at all.

In the sever slam I started with a fire sorc, and did play a bone necro after the hot fix. They seemed fine, at lvl 20 I soloed the Malnock stronghold & frozen goatman boss on T2, without legendaries except for a (dungeon aspect) barrier chest.

Ran a few dungeons at a decent pace and found the pet survivability to be decent. I usually play a ranged character and enjoyed being tougher as a necro who can get into melee without dying quickly.

Theres a theres a post from a disabled person on reddit on how D4 is friendly and easy to manage towards that group of people.
AND then theres russians and people like you. Thankfuly not many. Who cry that this is hard and something is nerfed. Its not hard at all and the dificulty is spot on.
Now think about that. The disabled person is enjoying the dificulty and you are saying something is nerfed and what ? Hard ? lol

Funny, I played a minion focused necromancer as well and having to actually play the game made me enjoyed it way more now than during the former betas, even before the hotfix. Maybe try to take ur hand out of your trousers and play with 2 hands instead.

Honestly (and respectfully), you must be doing something wrong here.
I played a Necro build using skeleton skirmishers, making sure to put points into their damage and health etc.
Wiping bosses was usually pretty easy for the most part. You just sit in a corner, and keep them alive while avoiding the boss yourself. However, if (and more realistically, when) your skeletons get smashed / wiped, then you need to be ready to start tanking the boss yourself or a moment, or using your movement to keep out of his way until you have corpses to rez your skeletons. This is usually fairly straightforward because most, if not all bosses spawn in more mobs to kill and resurrect at points in the fight)

Scythe is unexpectedly an awesome skill too. It keeps mobs off you and a steady supply of corpses (most bosses spawn extra mobs for this).

Necromancer (and D4 as a whole) plays a lot more like the love child of Diablo 2 and Path of Exile, so you have to play the game accordingly. It’s not like the cartoonish Diablo 3, where everything is on easy mode permanently, and this is a good thing. You can’t just stand in one place and expect everything will be fine. You hve to move, be strategic and pick skills carefully.
