No I don't want your stupid boost! Get if off my quest tracker!

Yes I realise I represent a tiny, tiny minority of people and that the overwhelming majority love this free “welcome back” boost because they only care about end game and want to get there as fast as possible - I get that.

But I do not want to be boosted, I do not want a boost, I want to enjoy the journey.

This wouldn’t be a problem if I could just ignore the infuriating “welcome back booster” quest in my quest log - but I can’t, because it just keeps on popping up EVERY… SINGLE…TIME I transition to a different area. Toggling off auto-track does nothing.

And every time the “welcome back booster” quest spam becomes active it overrides all other quests I have active and makes itself the tracked quest, it also removes any and all waypoints I have set up, meaning I’m having to go constantly in and out of my quest log to toggle the wretched thing off and reset the quest that I was doing back to active, and then remake the waypoint.

And I have to keep on doing this over, and over and over and over and over and over again.

For the love of God Blizzard, at least give me a way of stopping this thing from constantly becoming active in my quest journal, or at the very least fixing it so autotrack actually works on it - and no I do not want to “just get the boost so I can be rid of it” I want to enjoy the journey, not be rushed straight to level 50.

This is really frustrating, even though, as I said earlier, 98.8% of other players won’t care and welcome the boost.

It probably would have been quicker using the boost on character creation and then deleting him/her than it took for you to write this post…

that´s nothing compared to the stupid pet one.

But I made it quite clear that I don’t wish to use the boost as I have no desire to rush straight to level 50, and is it not the case that the boost applies to all characters on the account - thus making one disposable alt and then boosting them will have no impact on existing characters all of whom will surely still have this in their quest log?

I finally gave the game a try as it was on the game pass. After being bothered by this for 2 hours (I was level 15), I gave in and went, hoping that it would give me some item that I could stash. It immediately upgraded my character to level 50, depriving me of the fun of discovering my character through leveling up.
I uninstalled the game.
