No music / music is muted

My solution:
Just restart the game again and again. Once you hear the title music - it’s fixed. For now…

Problem started after last patch (2.0.4.59118). Music is complitely muted in the game: in title menu, on any locations. In sound tab of options “Music” is set to 100. Changing it doesn’t affect anything, although test sound is playing after any change of the value.
Found out that “Scan and repair” can fix it, but when I reset my PC and run the game again the problem comes back. Every scan tells everything is ok with game files.
All other sounds work fine including ambient sound, voices or SFX.

Add:
More test showed this bug happens just randomly on any game start. There is actually no connection between PC restarting (turning off/on), scanning and repairing, all that were just coincidences in my case.
Bug is still presented in 2.0.4.59238.

I seem to be experiencing the same thing tonight on the recent patch as well.

The Scan and Repair also restored the music but it didn’t say it actually fixed anything. I haven’t tried restarting my PC yet to see if that causes the issue to return though.

Same issue here… soundeffects etc. and voice are working, but no music is playing. Changing volume setting does not help.

Please fix this ^^

Exactly same problem here! Just when i thought I should give this game another chance I bought the expansion and wanted to play the whole campaign and …there you go. What a joke of a game man

I’m having the same issue. All other sound seems to be working fine, but no music at all. I tried scan and repair and it did not work. Tech support faq says make sure that enable music is on, but that is not a option in the game, at least not at present.

yeah, the game froze, pc task manager couldn’t find the game running, shut down, restarted and launched game without music, and the setting show it playing, but it is muted

Same here. Played last night, shit kept crashing and then when it did start working I have zero music, which the music is great by the way, as is the game up to now.

I am also experiencing this issue since the most recent patch. Haven’t been able to get any music at all. Settings are configured correctly.

The music is a highlight of the game for me, so really looking forward to having it back!
