No reason to play this game, Diablo 4 needs social features and proper leaderboards

I have no reason to play the game, no social events, no leaderboards, why should i invest time in this game?

At least put a leaderboard on the pit!!

Put a PvP leaderboard as well!!

Blizzard do something!!!

No more Diablo 4 for me untill proper endgame and social features will be added.

Season 5 is dead already.

Like one said this is not an airfield no need to announce your departure bb

actually I agree, Blizzard needs 3 things to improve DRASTICALLY the replayability of this game:

  • Leaderboards for Pits and/or next coop endgame.
  • Clan features, social events, clan chest and lobby filters / systems.
  • Loadouts/Armory to save builds presets, nobody like to reclick 200 paragon nodes everytime wants to change build type.

Pit is broken because bad design - Leaderboard has no sense
PvP is broken because balance issues - Leaderboard has no sense

Doing Leaderboards you will outrage players

In this game, the season lasts 2 weeks, then everyone leaves. This game is pointless, there is nothing to do in it. The player collects one build, then he can try to collect another one and another, but there is no point, since he cannot implement it anywhere. There is no content in the game for the collected build. Yes, you can try to close a high level of the pit, but who will know about it? What is the point when there is no leaderboard? Moreover, people buy all the things for real money. More precisely, they buy gold for real money, and then these hundreds of billions are converted into an ideal build and with its help close a high level of the pit. There is no competition, no spirit of racing, nothing. This whole game is a fake decoration, on top of a Korean mobile game made to suck money out of players through a season pass and skins, which are no less sloppily made than the game itself. The game has no development, only ridiculous decisions that break it even more, stretch out time and disappoint players.

Blizz already has a game to provide this (WOW retail) if you want social interaction and leaderboards.

I could have not put it more succinctly myself. Absolutely on point comment!

Words such as; ā€˜cheap, shallow, empty, greedy, soulless, thoughtless’ all spring to mind when I think of D4.

I agree. The main reason why I played Diablo3 were the leaderboards. Best decision was to introduce the set leaderboards even, so much fun to build each class/set combo and try to get to the top of the leaderboards. I’m not sure how to do this in D4, but yes at least give us a pit leaderboard for starter. We need proper leaderboards, not something that resets each week, but leaderboards for the whole season. Feels like they want D4 to be super casual and don’t want to ā€œhurt people’s feelingsā€ with the leaderboard, like ā€œomg there are people better than meā€, so what? You can still be in the top1000 as a casual player, what is wrong with that, some people play more, some less, every game has this. I love the game but I would really like a visible GOAL (=leaderboard) to archive, like in D3 doing the pushes with each class/build at the end of the season. Hope we will get it soon, along with a working armory.

yeah i finally got andariels to play an andariel rogue and do stupid damage but uh, no content for me to really do with it now… lol

This is a bit akin to saying in WoW ā€œI farmed the mythic raids to get mythic raiding gear and all I can do with that is the sameā€. You geared your rogue enough to be able to do end-game content, then got rewarded with gear for an ever better build, and now you say ā€œthanks, but now there’s nothing left to doā€. If there would be other/harder things to do, yet no reward (gear) that allows even better things, what would be the incentive?

Perhaps leaderboards on the pit? But that’s just the lucky few with time and dedication with perfect gear competing. Like with the current gauntlet, you have to have specifc gear and builds and follow perfect pathing to be able to score high. Which is fine! to me it’s odd that folks ask for leaderboards when there is a specific feature that is leaderboard driven. Oh well.

Funny because you talk about the game being dead but nothing you propose is content. Diablo is first a solo play for me, I couldn’t careless about ladder or whatever. Once I have a super stuff I’m basically done with the game.

That’s the problem when you make a pinata looter like D3 with optimized instance like the pit or the horde, with super high damage easily accessible. The real dopamine hits good when you have some effort into looting, not this. The season is basically closed in a week if you play like 1-2h a day.

So go play your Warcraft. I paid for Diablo.

Regarding WOW, I’m sorry but most people are doing that grind loop i.e. mythic raiding for mythic gear, for more reasons than are available in Diablo 4.

Let’s look at a few:

1). Damage/Healing meters are a powerful thing, grant players bragging rights in dungeons and raids.

2). WOWlogs. Everyone in my guild was looking to score higher than everyone else in the guild - it was a status thing, and this came with better gear (when skill was capped).

3). Pushing Mythic+ keys. Obtaining higher gear allowed you to push higher mythic+ dungeons. The rewards were relative to how high you went but there was also the idea of doing high keys for the prestige and ranking system.

Diablo has none of that and as such cannot be compared. Once you farm your stuff in Diablo, the process of which is extremely linear, shallow (and also cannot be compared to WOW) not to mentioned time consuming, there is nothing to actually do, nothing.
