NPC menus cause maximum power draw on GPU

Interacting with Demyan for example causes power draw to jump from 138 watts to 342 watts. This happens when his menu is open.

10900k 5.2GHz/5.1Ghz AVX
DDR4-4000 4xDIMMs CL15
RTX 3080 TI stock

Happens with other NPC’s as well. I am running vsync, locked at 60fps. My gpu gets hit like furmark as soon as I open the npc menu.

Same for me. Demyan is the one where temperatures ramp up the fastest. Then the armour vendor next to the blacksmith in Kyovashad.

I wonder if it’s the 3D renders of the vendors that are causing such a strain. But why always RTX 3080?

Same problem, temperatures go from 60 degrees to 70 when I open inventory or talk to a vendor, I have an rtx 3070.

High GPU temperatures and power draw of gpu during vendor interface

Hi all, in the server slam and now i’ve encountered a small “anomaly”, when i interact with a vendor the gpu power draw goes up from 60 watts to 170 watts (with fps locked at 90), causing a rapid temperature rise (15/20 degrees), this only happens with the vendor interface open. For people having the same problem I have a little tip, disable NVIDIA Reflex low latency, by disabling this option the power draw stays on 60± watts (60 fps cap) 100± watts (90 fps cap) 170± watts (150 fps cap). GPU power consumption goes crazy when i open a vendor screen

In the blizzard forum I found many other people with this problem, all with different gpu, rtx 3070, 80, 90, 4070, 80, 90, even someone with AMD. I locked the fps at 60 but even so the power consumption goes from 60 watts to 135 watts in the blink of an eye. For now I lock the fps at 60 and have disabled nvidia reflex to limit the problem, but other people report that it is not enough for them. EDIT: I think this thing is normal so I’m playing the game smoothly, ignoring it.
