No discussion here. Some people don’t care about it, some people want it. The game is EXPENSIVE, and denying offline mode ist just rude.

I don’t think the game was ever advertised as being able to played off-line. Given that you’ve accepted on-line connection when you purchased the game you can’t really complain.
I know some of the Diablo titles were able to be played off-line (I think the console versions) but that just opens up the ability to edit the local files to make characters stronger and to make items have properties they were not designed for. I believe when such a player joined a group on-line all the other members in the group were infected by the modified player.

I’d be ok with people playing without an internet connection, but this brings the possibility of people cheating, so they should be banned from ever playing online with that character.
Having the whole world to yourself? Yes please! Although I’m ok with people being in town I’d really like to turn them off whilst I’m soloing the open world, because other players break the immersion for me.

This game needs to be played offline, without latency, without server maintenance, and anywhere in the world on your mobile PC of choice without wifi.
Yeah well… not gonna lie i hack all single player games i even share code for cheat engine, its a lil hobby of mine among other things… as much as i enjoy playing games i also enjoy modding them.
To be honest, I believe any game that can be played solo should have a fully offline mode possible. With being able to play solo I mean being able to reasonably do everything in-game alone, with no help whatsoever from anyone.
I agree, that to a large part this game falls under that category, yet in this case I disagree since this game is set up as multiplayer, as in you can play solo in a multiplayer world.
This is not a single-player game, if may feel like it most of the time, but it is not. It is created around competition and collaboration of players.
I play solo, I tend to play it as a single-player game, yet sometimes I don’t because some quest doesn’t work or doesn’t seem to work as it should and team up with someone random close by hoping they know what’s going on.
So you could play this game with a single-player mindset, but in the end it is a multi-player game instead. Even if you never communicate with anyone, you will encounter players, you will kill bosses/encounters together.
I would not mind if they turned it into a single-player game myself, but I do believe that those that stick with the game for a long long time will mind a lot and in the end they count more since they bring in more of the money needed for us to be able to still play this game in a few years when we feel like it.

Just like in D2R. A game that worked pretty well compared to this.

I’m playing with an internet connection that mostly rely on copper… sometimes i got lag spikes that freeze the game (usually on helltides) and kills my char. I’d like offline 'cause i play solo and something like D2R would be THE solution imho.
it defo does need to be able to be played offline so you dont have to deal with all their server issues.
Since we can’t currently play, we can watch funny videos about blizzard.
In offline mode, I don’t think they could add things to purchase.
