Every season I post my list of feedback. S5 has been great but it’s becoming increasingly obvious we really need loadouts. So many great builds to try.
As always, this is my personal feedback. If you don’t agree with any or all of them, that’s fine.
Biggest issues:
- The game heavily discourages experimenting with builds due to the inability to save gear/skill/paragon loadouts.
Season 5:
- Again, this game desperately needs loadouts.
- The damage output and range on the legendary Corpse Bow the ‘Bone Thrall Ballista’ is ridiculous. 1-shot after 1-shot before you can even see them. The normal versions already hit like a truck from off the screen, but this variant is clearly broken.
- Again, the Consumables tab is still a problem. Far too much stuff goes in there now.
- Why do the old Varshan mats still drop? It’s extra inventory clutter, plus extra steps to transmute them.
- The droprate on Varshan mats feels too low.
- Having to do NMD just for Glyphs and Glyph XP kinda sucks. You’ve made them slightly less annoying but they’re still a drag.
- The Pit was already boring in S4, and felt very unrewarding. It’s even worse now compared to Hordes.
- The Pit bosses take too long to kill, and seem to have a lot of 1-shotting nonsense. Blood Bishop in particular is insane. This makes me not do The Pit.
- Again, fix the (poison) dot damage.
- Tempering and Enchanting should probably take the players setup into consideration a bit more. Sucks getting the same stat you literally cannot use 5 times in a row.
- The ‘Damnation’s Downfall’ part of the seasonal journey sucks. I’m not sure which is worse, this one or last seasons.
- Let me disable other players’ spell effects; Fireball Sorc build is crazy.
- Mob density in Helltides feels much lower than in S4.
- The Lilith fight is an annoyance. If I have the damage to kill her before mechanics just let me do that. Don’t force me into 70 seconds of unskippable mechanics in a 90 second fight.
Season 4:
- TLDR: While there’s a ton of absolutely great changes in this season I stopped playing after a week or 2. I won’t be farming gold; if I have to look at my gold counter every time I interact with a core game mechanic I’m just going to stop playing. It is far too easy to brick an item while tempering. Plus the Pit feels boring and unrewarding.
- Removed other issues after season end to not bloat this list. They can be found in my post history.
Season 3:
- TLDR: Stopped playing after 2 weeks. No endgame to speak of. Got sick of dealing with loot without a loot filter. Got sick of the convoluted aspect system.
- Removed other issues after season end to not bloat this list. They can be found in my post history.
Season 2:
- Did not play as S1 sucked.
Season 1:
- TLDR: Stopped playing S1 after a couple of days as it was annoying and boring.
- Removed other issues after season end to not bloat this list. They can be found in my post history.
General:
- Most dungeons feel like they are bulk generated by AI. No originality or personality.
- Disabling the crossplay features improves client performance dramatically on PC, don’t know about console. Game is a lot smoother with it off.
- The poison dot is still ridiculously overtuned. Popping multiple potions to get rid of it sucks.
- Random events need to be way faster and intense. The ‘escort the ghost’ one especially takes far too long.
- I know it’s not going to change but the shop prices are beyond obnoxious. I’d buy way more stuff if the prices were 20-30% of what they are now.
Helltides:
- Finally they’re entertaining and not mindnumbingly boring!
Nightmare Dungeons:
- ‘Slay all mobs’ and ‘Collect animus’ are boring and take far too long.
- I want to play this ACTION rpg, not run around and free 5-7 prisoners.
- If I come across the second ‘key’ item before I come to the pedestals, let me pick that up as well instead of forcing me to backtrack twice.
- ‘Stormbane’s Wrath’ gets deleted instantly.
- ‘Death pulse’ gets deleted instantly.
- Auto-open the box at the end, like what happens in the Pit.
- Don’t cover half my screen, right where the loot and the pedestal are, with that clickable loot summary banner
UI:
- Please let me zoom out the minimap more.
- Please start sorting stuff like Glyphs consistently. Equipped → level → alphabetically → rarity. Not whatever you’ve got going on now.
- Let me hide the keybind indicators on PC.
- Let me scale the UI on PC.
- Change the color selection in the transmog UI so you don’t have to scroll.
- Add a 24 hour clock.
- Action wheel customization should probably be accountwide instead of per character.
- If every item that drops on WT3 is Sacred, and if every item I get on WT4 is Ancestral; does it really need to be pointed out in the tooltip of every item that’s on the ground?
- Clean up the transmog UI so you don’t have to scroll to see 3+ rows of options; the other elemants can be way smaller.
- Armor number should turn green when it’s capped, like resistances do.
- Can we get rid of that ‘Player X has engaged monster Y’ chat spam.
- Fix the sorting on Uniques; put the same ones next to each other.
QoL:
- Let me zoom out the minimap more.
- Consumables tab is always full. Obvious fixes: separate Sigil tab and/or make boss summoning mats go into materials (like gems do now).
- Please let me complete multiple Whispers before I have to go turn it in at the Tree. Feels like I have to go all the way over there every 5 mins.
- The Beast in Ice telegraphs are nearly impossible to see due to player spell effects. Please fix.
- The Obol cap is an annoyance.
- Re-doing Strongholds to unlock certain NMD’s every season is getting annoying. They offer 0 challenge and 0 loot.
- Let me add ‘Reset Dungeons’ to the action wheel please.
- Let me teleport to a party member directly please.
- Let me pick a default town portal city please.
- Default town portal city and a separate keybind for the Tree would be perfection.
- The ‘Skip campaign’ option should unlock all waypoints.
- Let me trade duplicate mount drops, or at least give them a somewhat significant vendor value.
- Please make the pet pick up loot faster and/or increase their aoe loot radius.
