Own bag slot for Gems and Hearts?

As tittle said. So far i see my bag getting filled up from these seasonal ‘‘hearts’’ yeah, some of them are useful, and need to craft things etc. but i’d love if they would get a bag slot of their own. and gems too… I dont mostly even bother to pick up gems when im under lvl 50 or so…

Completely agree. I no longer pick up gems because they take up too much inventory. They should be in the “materials” tab, with other resources.

Good idea. I started organizing gems in my stash and one tab is already full with them…

don’t worry, there is a gem fix coming down the pipeline. After season 2, when malignant hearts aren’t even in the game anymore

That’s just wrong… one stash is not going to be full with gems. It’s about two rows. There is no extra bag needed for that.

there’s 7 types of gems all with their own quality. 5 types of quality mean 35 slots.

30 slots is not two rows.

And that’s before malignant hearts.

No, because you do not pick up low gems (and they won’t drop later on anymore) and you can upgrade them. There is 7 gems times 2.

Trust me, I looted all gems I found and upgraded the ones I needed, stashed the rest. One tab full and I’m only on flawless even.

would make sense if you had a whole roster of toons above level 70 sure. but until then, no.

Don’t pick up low gems unless you socket them. After that, only flawless drops. Easy as that. Stop picking up and stashing every crap you find.

I don’t the only thing I stash are gems, because I don’t have enough to upgrade them yet, and aspects that are max rolled.

If I want to try out a new character I want to use gems on it too, also on lower level.

Yeah, then pick up the one that drops in 15minutes and socket it. You do not need to pick up anything below flawless

diablo 1-2-3 had the perfect storage system, Diablo 4 changed it to total crap, i hope they change this fast.

We had low space because of gems now we have these stupid hearts WTF blizz, now we have to town a lot more, this is so stupid!

To be clear, I am totally in favor of a much more fleshed out and robust inventory system. Especially in this day and age. Moreso even cause there’s so much… junk… that needs storing because it could be useful later on.
Uncanny restrictions like the level requirements on aspects. So many different incoherent stats that make some pickups feel like Maybe…/Maybe not… (EG: +xx% critical damage if you wear a funny hat while doing a silly walk on a rainy day on the 1st of April). So much other junk that clutters your inventory in no time with a 70% possibility to disconnect while you teleport to town trying to pawn it.

That said I feel the need to point out and clarify a few things.

D1 had no stash unless you used mods. Everything was stored directly in your character’s inventory. If you died, all your worn items would drop on the floor around you & you’d have to walk all the way back pretty much naked to try and pick it back up.

The other side is that there weren’t so many items and stats, so it was much easier to get organised in terms of sticking to what you really needed. There was also the limited possibility of using some characters as a mule to carry extra inventory if you had someone to help you with that.

In (classic) D2 you had 1 inventory chest. It was a huge improvement and thanks to being able to make unlimited accounts with an 8 character limit per account you were able to store a vast number of items if need be. It wasn’t so much ideal as it was technically still a work-around, but it was what was available to us and in that way it was the most effective method we had.
It could sometimes be a bit of a pain to manage too many mule-accounts cause the characters on it had an expiration-counter. I don’t remember exactly how many days it was… 90 maybe? Relogging on the character reset the counter, so there was some managing involved to keep your mules from dissapearing.

There were a lot more items, stat variety & builds. The game was very alt-friendly. Thus the use of mule accounts for dedicated players was mandatory.

D3 upped the amount of stash space but limited the mule-system. Gone were the days of nearly unlimited storage space trough mule-accounts. There was also a lot more to keep around again.
It never felt like it was impossible or too difficult to add a more extensive stash system to D3, yet the developers never really implemented such changes for reasons I still can’t fathom.
A few extra stash tabs could be awarded via seasons I believe, but that was pretty much it.

So D4 really could use a storage system more akin to what’s currently implemented in POE for example. I’d be all for it as it would be such a relief to have the space & to be able to get organised.
But I definitely would not claim that all of D1-2-3 had better stash systems. The circumstances were different yes, but definitely not better. However there’s nothing ‘really’ stopping them from adding a stash system a bit more similar to that of POE.
Nothing but their own agenda at least.
