Hi all, I own the PC version of Diablo IV and an Xbox Series X version as well. However having a connection to the Xbox live account only allows me to play my PC characters on PC or XBOX, whichever platform I log on the other disconnects. So I unlinked the accounts to be able to play different characters on XBOX and different on PC… problem is, I cannot find any solution for bringing my XBOX characters to the PC, as its supposed to be Cross play and I own the PC and XBOX versions of the game, I thought Battle net would recognize I own the game on Xbox and on PC and let me login with PC or Xbox accounts and play the respective characters. When I log in with the Xbox battle net account though, I cant press PLAY even if the game is installed on the PC. Did I understood the crossplay functionality wrong and it only works on PC battlenet played on Xbox but not vice versa?
You will not be able to play the game simultaneously on Xbox and PC when they’re on the same Battle.net account, as you’re logging in with your Battle.net account to the same game. This is completely normal.
In order to have access to both Xbox and PC characters you will also need to have your Xbox account linked to your Battle.net account, that you’re using to play on PC. As you disconnected it, they will not share the same character list.
Hello, I understood that while the accounts are unlinked, each does have a separate character list, one belongs to the Xbox battle net account and the other to the PC battle net account. What I am trying to reach is the following - having the option to play the Xbox characters (different ones from the PC ones) on my PC if I am out of reach of my Xbox. Basically, using the Xbox battle net account to log into the PC version of the game and progressing my Xbox characters as I bought two versions of the game.
Example:
Xbox account has - Druid, Necromancer
PC account has - Sorcerer, Rogue
I log in into Battle net on PC as Xbox account - I can play my Xbox Druid or Necromancer
I log in into Battle net on PC as my PC account - I can play my PC Sorcerer and Rogue
Is this achievable? Because right now I can only have ONE pool of characters even though I have bought two versions of the game, paid twice the full price, so I would expect to have a pool of characters for Xbox and a pool of characters for PC, depending on which Battle net I use for log in on which ever of those two platforms.
