When playing as a companion Druid with the unique “Storm’s Companion” equiped, I was looking for ways to give my companions more consistent AoE damage. Since Wolves now deal lightning damage, I thought the Overcharged Aspect in combination with Overload from the Spirit Boon tree would be a nice option. **Unfortunately, the passive and active damage of the wolves does not trigger the direct damage dealt to overloaded enemies from the aspect, meaning that pulse damage is not being dealt to surrounding enemies. Wolves damage does trigger the Spirit Boons’ overload though. **
To top it of, I thought using Bad Omen and Electric Shock in combination with the above would make the AoE even better. Unfortunately, both skills are not triggered with the passive and active damage portion of the wolves.
I am curious if the above interactions are an intended mechanic. If not, it might be something that can be fixed.
Too bad. Companion druid could realy use better AoE, especially from the wolves imo. The AoE effect from Storm’s Companion unique is simply too small and the lighting storm they cast has too large of a time interval to be significant. Using X’fal’s Corroded Signet to let DoT from Poison Creeper and Rabies errupt seems to be non-existent, even with lucky hit chance on Gear/Glyph/Elixer.
It was fun to play and test! At least a solid boss killer
unfortunately the companions themselves (active and passive) does not trigger Packleader aswell. For this reason, I don’t really understand the stat Packleaders lucky hit chance on Storm’s Companion Pants. And the companions does not trigger Vulnerable from % Lucky Hit Chance for Vulnerable - Stat, Wolves (Active and Passive), Ravens (Active and Passive) and Poison Creeper (passive) does not trigger Exploit-Glyph’s vulnerable-effect. However the active effect of poison-creeper does trigger the Exploit-Glyph effect.
