Pay to advance, for those who believe that the VOH is an expansion really if for the new area on the map, but what you really pay for is to have advantages over those who did not buy it and why pay for a new poorly made class, that only worked well when it was released, you pay for runes, that is, you are paying for power, sales of followers are really utilities that you must pay to have them over others, obtain mythics in simpler ways also another advantage of paying, many Youtubers forgot that before launching D4 they condemned the fact that the payment was related to powers, and according to Blizzard what you pay would only be Skins, this season they made a new way to force you to pay for the expansion and in the menu of exclusive powers of the season, 2 powers you will not be able to use them if you do not pay, VOH is very expensive for what it gives and it is a crappy and very bad content compared to the game as it is
They promised not to sell powers through microtransactions. Expansions are not microtransactions.
Nobody buys expansions for the story and landmass it adds, they buy it for the new features and mechanics that enrich their gameplay. Expansions are the natural progression of Blizzard games, always has been.
Are you really so naive to think Blizzard wouldn’t do this, when it is what they have always done, with all their games, for over 25 years. Why should D4 be any different?
You can feel however you want about this, but wether you like it or not, this is how it works.
You don’t need the expansion to advance.
You don’t need those 2 expansion only powers in season 8 to advance.
You don’t need Runes to advance.
You don’t need a Follower to advance.
You don’t need the expansion to get Mythics.
I am doing top tier stuff without the extra skill points, runes etc… that you get with the expansion with no issues at all.
VOH is something i will buy in the future when it is on sale for the right price for me, as it is NOT required to advance in any part of the game.
