Since yesterday, the game freezes pretty often, like every 5 minutes upon doing an action, and this feels like it’s heavily related to servers. The game just runs perfectly fine during a dungeon, I’m a Paragon 252 CL Sorceress, and I clear undercity under 2 mins at 60FPS, but when I portal back to town, the game sometimes freezes for 2-3 minutes.
Some of the freezes that occur regularly:
Go through a portal,
Login to game,
Open the map(sigh…)
Open the inventory,
Click on a vendor, blacksmith, etc,
Most other major interactions within the game such as clicking on event stuff for undercity, pits, and every other one.
When I’m within a map and killing monsters, everything runs smooth as usual. But whenever I need to click on something, the chance of a freeze is 50%, mostly crashing the game after a 2-3 minutes of freeze.
Currently this game is unplayable for me. Looking forward to a quick patch.

Despite having a 500/250 Mbps fiber connection, I’m facing input delays, particularly during select to open my stash or to select the blacksmith or any other vendor especially when i try to entering anything that pops a loading screen like to entering to a Dungeon or a town Portal. This is leading frequently the game to doesn’t respond in time.
I have done the following to my PC i have format windows, i have change my router, i have change ONT, i have change utp cable and the delay problem persists… At this time i download the game again .
I even changed my battletag id… and that’s not enough, I see that right now I’m stuck at 38% at downloading the game as the download speed is stuck at 53.7 Kb/s and from what it seems the game download it will not complete . Ι see the problem is not my system…
Are there any known solutions or workarounds for these issues? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Please search google as “Diablo 4 freezes randomly” or similar, and set the filter for the last 24 hours. You will see a few more posts, we are not alone my friend!
Regarding the game download speed problem, I found that if you change the region during login, the speed is corrected, but not for long; you have to do it continuously, which is annoying.
LoL I was already reinstalling video drivers and clearing caches and repairing the game running as admin. disabling DLSS and alot of other stuff. I think a patch just came out. will se if its fixed now.
After the re-installation of Diablo IV the problem exists… thwe only fix i found is to logout and login again from battlenet app until to find a server with no lags
one of the most expensive games of our time and such a shitty attitude towards its players and games, the problem has been around for almost a week, and technical support writes, check for Windows and video driver updates, categorically denying the fact that the problem is with them, not the players.
I’m having the same problem. Run in administrator mode, updates, reinstall, etc. etc. I tried everything but it doesn’t work. There is no problem in the game, but when I click on the map, inventory, or a shop, sometimes there are freezes for 30-40-50 seconds. Sometimes it takes much longer and I fall out of the server. We are waiting for urgent patch and support…
Yesterday i log in after a long time to finish my battle pass and it was quite bad
I had freezes for a few seconds after login.
It stopped but it was annoying
I bet if i log in again right now it’s gonna be same story
freezing for a few seconds till game recognize that i want to play
Have the same issue. Put a ticket and got the same automated responses 2 times. That the fault is in my PC. After they just closed the ticket as “resolved”.
I have exactly same issue here. Game is randomly freezing on most UI interactions, many times ui (for example alchemist or Undercity) opens without any interactable buttons or any content, whatsoever. And bear with me - THE ISSUE IS NOT IN MY F*****G PC - I ran every diagnostic i could think of, checked every single driver for error/lts. Did clean install. Damn, I work as DevOps tech for past 11 years. Troubleshooting exactly this kind of issues is exactly what I’m getting paid for. This is either product or server related problem (my bet is on server side, it is too inconsistent to be code related). Bottom line? It is apparent that blizzard does not give a flying diablo4 about customers and tries to downplay errors on their side. Not much that can be done about that… Maybe just… you know… tell anybody willing to listen? I could overlook that D4 is medicore game at best (had fun with it, but it is about 10cm shallow and about half meter wide…). But playing dead bug? Thanks, but GrindingGearGames just pre-released Path of Exile 2. From what i saw, nobody is going to look back twice.
