I would like to see in the game two things
- Pet who picks up loot according to filter
- Autoattack - Hero attack the nearest enemy by himself

Maybe the backpacks are “the pet” who auto loots for us in this iteration of Diablo.
Would save our screens from extra pet clutter anyway.
#1 would be cool provided that there is no benefit to pets that cost real world money for this. Either all pets need to be equally good at this, or how good they are at this would have to be determined purely though playing the game, and not by what you buy with real world money.
I feel like #2 would sort of break the spirit of Diablo and ARPGs. Fast paced fights that don’t take too long are good, but I think players needs to always be in control of themselves in a fight. Unless maybe the auto-attack were based on an ability that is temporary and takes mana/rage/whatever to activate.
The reason I disagree with pets is it seems ridiculous in the world of sanctuary, for literally everyone to be walking round with a cute pet at their heels.
It would ruin the aesthetic for me big time.
Other players running around will ruin aesthetics of the game well enough so having a little pet picking up gold wouldn’t be that much of a problem.
What would be a problem is having an auto attack option. We already have a nerf to Necromancer class cause people were AFK farming events. Auto attack would just deepen the problem.
Nobody says about cute pets. Let them not be cute. But when a pet gathers loot - it is very comfortable, especcially in the end game content.
